y'know, suggesting you'll be making use of a Liberty Rogues tag and employing Liberty Rogues weaponry without actually asking us, the LR, for permission might not be too clever an idea. Not too clever at all.
Ok, we got a bit ahead of ourselves on that. Who's in charge of the LR these days? We also wanted to talk to the Junker Congress about the docking on Trafalgar part, but Rudo never answered the PM one of our people sent.
That's actually a good question. You don't know who my character is, and you're asking it. Same reason why my initial question to a Buccaneer transport was along the lines of "Far away from home, eh, Rogue?" Then, I was told that he was a Buccaneer, not a Rogue.
I am extremely angry. The last time I was this angry was when Akumabito still posted on the forums.
At first, I was annoyed. No, I'm not annoyed at the fact that I was shot down by Jammi, or that you folks pretty much insta'd Banza, the leader of the MR, with little to no warning. I was annoyed that I was dealing with a YAIF - "Yet Another Imported Faction."
Another import that thought it could stroll into a system, claim it was theirs, and start regulating everybody.
That was before I found out that, no, it was not a YAIF, but rather, something started by someone who I felt was an excellent roleplayer, and in fact, a good friend of mine, Glenn.
So, nothing personal, Glenn, but in the future, do not stroll into a system and start your faction or your character and expect everyone to know everything about you. Do not be so presumptuous and start acting like you've been there since forever.
Sure, it might be in your RP to have been in Bretonia for a heck long time, but it sure as hell isn't in the rest of the people around you. For christ's sake, make yourself known instead of jumping straight into stuff the day after the damn proposal is posted.
Right now, I believe your main concern should be surviving the war with the MR. Focus on the pirating later, bud.

Sindroms leads the LR, Nighthawk is second-, I'm third-in-command.
From my quick glance over your proposal, I have no problems with this and it will help populate Bretonia for sure. It'll give the Mollys some new peeps to interact with as well, I think.
One thing though - you might want to narrow down your ship list. Right now, you're all over the place and even though all the ships you listed are logical choices, you might want to stay more focused while you're just starting up.

"All over the place" is exactly what we had in mind when crafting the ship list. The idea there is to create a sort of "patchwork fleet" made up of whatever our boys could get their hands on. Originally our shiplist was actually smaller, but we expanded it for the variety factor, debating each one before we put it on the list. If it causes too many issues, we can shrink it back down.
I adjusted our diplomacy to move the Mollys to hostile, after an encounter with them eariler today. As per our usual mode of operations, though, that just means we expect them to be particularly nasty to us, rather than us considering them KoS.
' Wrote:I'd suggest using a Freelancer IFF then, since Rogues are allied to Mollys.
We're debating that right now. The Rogue tag was more due to the fact that it most closely represents our activities than anything else. We may end up changing, though, depending on how this discussion goes. It's not like Freelancer IFF is hard to get.
The only thing I have a problem with (as do others it seems...) Is the whole ID issue... I'd use a PIRATE ID too, but with just a Freelancer tag, which would fit okay and create a lot less tension for you.
Other than that issue everything else has been covered, so i'm not going to go over everything else again.
"The pen is mightier than the sword." -Edward Bulwer-Lytton. "Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword never encountered automatic weapons." -General Douglas MacArthur
Only problem is in the fact that the FL tag is rather ambiguous. If nothing else works, though, I guess that's all we've got. Personally, I'd prefer a Junker tag over a Freelancer one.
