I don't have a date in mind yet, I think we have enough people.

Are there any more suggestions or tweaks to this event before I post up a date? I want to avoid most/all combat events on weekends.

maybe we could do the exact opposite? maybe we should protest when there is a big battle going on. maybe in the next system over from the battle. we ARE protesting all the fighting going on in sirius, arent we? i think there are enough people around that still DONT attend alot of events.

If this is hard to schedule, I suggest we have a week-long protest, and pick an hour to do it - say 20-21 GMT. Then each day, whoever wants to show will show. Alternatively, you could say Tuesday-Thursday or something if a full week is too long.

Well, this seems to be more of an OORP event so... why no pirates? I'm sure they would gladly unite for that one day to protest the lolcaps, they hate them as much as you do. Would you mind a few shires showing up though and joining the protest?:P
