Greetings

Code:
5.8 A player who was killed in a PvP fight must not re-engage the enemy (player or players involved in the death) with any of the characters on his/her account(s) for 4 hours.

Thats clear

Code:
5.2 If a player is attacked*, he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking. There are no restrictions for self-defense.

Well, and there is a problem.

Look at this, if there are just two players. Player A kill player B in system for example manhaten.

So if he shot me again in different system, i have right to shot back, but also i cant engage him becouse of rule 5.8. I know there is writen regardless of who is attacking. But tht mean that i can follow you in to the another system and kill you again, when you respawn i can follow you to another system and kill you again. ......

This is absolutely against RP cause same player can kill you 10 times in 10 minutes. There should be writen that same player cannot engage you for 4 hours not just you cant engage him.

So what do you think about that?

Take the idea of a pirate who is killed by the local law in one system. He moves to an ajacent system, and begins his pirating anew. There needs to be a way for the lawfuls to get him out.

On the other hand pirated guy would be killed several times in different systems without any protection.

5.9 After a death in a PvP fight, players should switch to other characters (preferably with different role-playing status) for no less than 4 hours.

It isn't exactly a rule, but more of a suggestion. If a pirate gets blasted, well, shucks, go do something else until the person/people who blasted you log off. Problem solved.

Now, in the case of the winner of the engagement, as long as he lets you leave system, he can really do whatever he wants (within the rules). Sure, it's poor sport to not let the person just get on with leaving (if he was), but, if the person is a pirate who decided to move one system over and pirate again, and the law enforcement comes to bust them again, shucks to the pirate, you're getting busted again. Switch characters. It happens.

Baconsoda that could be solution, but think about this:
You are starting player with one character (freighter) and you have 3 hours of free time which you want to spend on Discovery server and some pirate and anyone dont let you play freely.

Sindroms as i said i read that, but anyway it doesnt make a sence to defend myself againts my killer after one minute of death. This is absolutely against RP. I mean destroy someone who destroyed you.

I can understand problem with pirates and lawfulls. But also there could be a rule which provides at least small protection, for example 15 minutes when killed player cannot be killed again by same player.
