You forget that these are not military ships. A nice, spacious cockpit, with a great open view of the wonders of space around you? Those sound like great selling points!
Go on and make models that you think are cool, and don't let the picky brigade nitpick your design and inspiration to death.
Hey, thanks for all the feedback! So I've talked to Ironwatsas and after a few suggestions here are some new models for the LF. Not sure whether I prefer the new or old. Everything has been saved, and it's really up to the lot of you.
The small "wings" were just sort of decoration, I had Samurai swords in mind when I added 'em. But it seems that the LF was an atmospheric racer before it moved on to greater things, so that's where the larger wings come in.
Enjoy!
Oh! And I have a VHF in the works, it'll be here in the next few days once my other life is less busy;)
Oh! Also, just so everyone knows; these are intended to replace the HW ships that were imported in, not the custom models, which I know there is at least one of.
The models look really nice. Do you have prior experience with modeling?
These models look much more modern to me than the present Kusari designs, which usually feel more 'traditional'. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I dunno.

Tehee thanks. I guess i will get through it. I teached myself Photoshop, but i guess this is different.
The new one looks really awesome.
Only take away the 4 Hardpoint on the back, the one on the downside, that you have 3 for mine, cm and thruster.
"Who is it doing this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin'?"
I am sure a line of fighters will be very successful!
When they are - have a chat with Renzu about some other ship projects.
Renzu was put up by Watsas as the (previously unnamed) builder of the Talarca Light Cruiser in 4.84 - a ship that became a victim of its own success and was subsequently scrapped.
We had a chat and considered that some of those spare parts could be used in the making of some larger civilian craft...
