Pirates, Pirate RP and Terrorists.

I was talking about this with Hack, but today I witnessed something that made me reconsider waiting and posting the few ideas we expressed and just to sum some things up.

Right now, I went to New York with my starflier, since I use it to fraps now that the cam ship is getting divided by zero. What do I see? Numberous outcast tridentes, falcatas, barghests and two dessies right next to Manhattan, attacking LNS ships and all that kind of things.

Made my eyes bleed.

There is a reason I have been so uptight about those who I rp around on my Rogue, the numberous diplomacy and hostile intent threads.

Pirates are Pirates, what you are doing now, people, that is Terrorism. Pirates, must I remind you, do not attack government ships, they have no financial opportunities in that, while, attacking traders and fleeing is. Pirates hit the lane, pirate a few, relocate, rince and repeat, if the navy comes they flee back to the safety of their fields and move around.

The recent attack on Fort Bush for example. Why...

Why the hell would you, a pirate, someone who wants money or goods attack a police base.

Ofcourse, if you are planning a diversion to let a smuggler group slip on by or to get a convoy unguarded, sure, but this happens all the effing time and what you are going to do is make the law enforcers put a battleship on each lane ring.

Terrorists use terror (dur), violence and fear to get what they want. Rogues, Outcasts operating in Liberty should not do that. Xenos use the tactic to an extent, but those are Terrorists. Terrorist ID owners do the same.

This small rant is probably the last I make, considering it is the new peeps who do this, sadly, they do not wish to listen, factions, even tho if we try to make some programs like public open message dumps and rp opportunities, will be ignored. People do not join factions for a reason and they wont be forced to do so either.

Think about what you are doing, NY is a mess as it is, we dont need this kind of bull to be used every fraking day.

I am very surprised to see just how many people mix up Pirate and Terrorist RP. Maybe the ID needs fixing? Remove the "freely can attack lawfuls throughout their ZOI" and change it to "Can attack only if refused in demands or in self defence?"

No, ofcourse not. This is where my optimistic side says to let them figure it out on their own, but still...

I completely support Sindroms on this.

Not only are people from the unlawful side leaving and quitting, people on the lawful side are quitting. Not just quitting playing their characters, quitting the server. We in the LPI have had 3 people quit over the last 2 weeks.

There is a clear line between pirating and terrorist behavior.

Outcasts and Hackers forming up in fleets to attack the Liberty Navy/ killing off all the Lawfuls in system? Terrorists

Junker iff'd pirates/ Hacker gunships/ Outcast bombers attacking a major police station? Terrorists

Corsairs in New York claiming they are taking over the system? Terrorists.

Liberty Rogue / outcast destroyer/ Hacker Battleship sitting outside a major Planet killing everything that moves? Terrorists.

Congratulations, your playing a TERRORIST and you COMPLETELY BYPASSED the admin given terrorist id.

You are using Liberty as your personal sandbox to do whatever you want, while crying like a spoiled little brat if someone does something remotely even like what you are doing in your neck of the woods.

However, know this:

YOU are the cancer that has beset this server, and are poisoning it for all.

By ruining the fun of others, you WILL eventually kill off all interest, and then what?

Think about it.

Perhaps there should be a much stronger punishment against OORP behaviour.

Give the names of those Outcast Destroyers towards the Council of Dons. As far as i know, not a single Outcast Dessie should be in New York.

Else than that..... yes, it is annoying. Even if i'm just spending 20 mins/day in Liberty with my trader, well perhaps a bit more now i got BH's in there, as well a a Hyena.
I may also point you to this thread, as i think this is a result if such things.

In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.

Argo, it has been done time and again with admins and RP, nothing works sadly, Dons have no saying if people say "I do what I want, I dont brake server rules, you cannot restrict my RP"

I think there's a third sort of group to also consider though. That would be revolutionaries, who would sit somewhere in the middle of those two.

But with that in mind, there isn't anything of that sort going on in Liberty. Well, maybe the Xenos border on that. There just seems to be lots of pirate fail in those parts.

I vote for letting the LR actively oppress all the foolish Rogues and let the Council of Dons actually be able to do something about the foolish Outcasts.
