Looking for some Guidance

Needless to say I fail at this game. I started out tonight only 1.6mil away from finally getting my dream ship, the Firefly. Well after playing for an hour tonight I now need 32mil to get the firefly.

about 25mil of my loss is just payment to pirates. Everytime I used a different route, switched be jg and jh's. Used and didnt trade lanes. Didnt matter. Every system had 4 pirates in in tonight and no matter what I couldnt shake em.

the other money I lost in having to dump contraband cargo.

So what im hoping is for some kind soul, specifically someone who is well adept at smuggling, to send me a msg and show me the ropes. Im willing to do anything you say. I cant keep taking loses like this and Im clearly doing something wrong.

So any good contraband runners out there, hit me up, help me out, I will be forever in your debt.

Well....I dont know what to say, really. What are you flying now? Its a pitty that pirates tax a lot even if the ship isnt that large.

What route are you doing and what pirates are taxing you?

If your doing Slaves and Cardamine then for the route I use there should be no pirates taxing you. Lane Hackers, Liberty Rogues and Outcasts shouldn't be taxing people holding Slaves or Cardamine, because they know its either from Malta or going to Malta.

I'll send you my smuggling run, but unfortunately I don't know the coords for jump holes of by heart.

I had been doing the slaves/cardi route. However the last 2 nights Kusari has been posting police/navy on both sides of the tau 37 jumphole. So even if you manage to sneam past em to Omincron Alpha. As soon as you exit the whole back with cardamine They are waiting on the otherside of the jumphole. So you pretty much lose your whole cargo hold.

Here's a tip: Don't go trading when there's pirates about... Use your chat menu to find out who is in the systems that your route gos through.

When exactly is there NOT Pirates about? Over half the people playing are pirates.

Depends on which routes you run. Memorize the names of the pirates you have met. There's some specific times during the day on my route when I can almost granteed have no pirates.
