hello thar.

is this really true that a camera ship cannot RP? i wanted to be a sort of survielance drone taking screens of cool stuff and fraps vids of other stuff, yet i dont want to have to be silent while I do that

it says it will result in repercussions? does this mean the admins will get ban happy or does this mean that you are in general danger using a ship with no guns?

i mean i am harmless, to everything, and im not very tough to kill if necissary, is there really an issue with this? my level is still well under 30 in it..

in a sence i am using it to take pics with, but does that have to be all, because again, im no threat.

If everyone had one, they'd abuse it. Have you seen people trying to actually shoot the camera ship? Its hitbox is that of an atom.

Plus, I thought you needed admin permission to get one?

i dont understand how people could abuse the camera ship,

and everyone can get them, they are sold for less than nothing on philedelphia station in pensilvania,

and i didnt see the admin permission only part, i saw "for using to take pics, or admin permission"

and i am using it for image collection, but i wanna RP that :/ im just asking what the big hoohar is.

and they shouldn't hit me anyway because im only level 21 with it.

i see no reason why people would get so uptight about it, you cant even see it for crying out loud, well, maybe the ion trail but thats it.

Because it's the less balanced ship of the game. And they would say ''NO!'' because you are in their guard system or such, while they really want to be online. And Then they'd say you abuse its protection. An Hawk can do the job just as well.

ok now this response made more of a decent arguement point,


i can see people using it to get in guard systems, however if they need to use a camera ship to get in a guard system then surely they would be unable to land anyway.

and certain people arent allowed to have certain ships without certain parameters, such as ID's IFF's and such, if they already had these there would be no reason to use a camera ship in the first place

and if a hawk can do just as well why have the camera ship in the first place.

the ability to zip around in fast linear motions around a ship (like I imagine an actual drone would) whilst RP'ing is really awesome

needing this ship to enter a guard system = pointless

abusing its protection = pointless @ level 21

less balanced ship? it has no guns at all, and great speed, that is not unbalanced

Camera ships can be used to fly around without dying allowing people to spy on enemy factions without being able to be killed. Also a ship that has no body and can accelerate and move at incredible speeds in all directions is not in RP, it has zero realism.

Like it says on the infocard, taking pics or admin permission. With the first one meaning no RP, only picture taking.

the only peoples I think have a use for it is the wiki editors that need to take pictures of All systems including guard systems. And maybe some peoples that take pictures for whatever the reason is.
