If only the Angels were around more... I mean, I'm not trying to say we shouldn't be helping new players out with finding a place on the server or with understanding the rules, but I think a resurrection of the Angels faction would help out new players a ton, and maybe even out the server's populations of different people (AKA what Tinkerbell had pointed out in the OP).

We are resurrected... We cant be on all the time. Most of us have different characters we like to play as well. A lot of us also do a significant amount of work on the forums or I world a lot in the disco help channel which I founded and operate.

Like it says to the left, people other than angels can help too, it is allowed and very much appreciated, by everyone. I think it would be helpful if people who did not have the explicit job or who's characters did not have the job of helping new or confused players would help people anyway instead of just yell at them or get annoyed.

Too much discussions about rules. Drop rules... make the game play itself, not be upheld by ascii rules. Make oorp equiptment impossible to get. Make oorp iff/id combinations impossible. Drop weird rules like 'cant cruise to catch up'. Make hitboxes bigger, especially on Sabre, so people wont be talking over 'shieldrunning' in 4-hour fights.

Right now, the hole game seems a niche to allow rule-lawyers to do what ever tehy want, while new people who are jsut trying to play a game get banned and sanctioned.
Make a 'welcome to discovery quest' that makes new people learn the how-to, reward will be some money on top of their 8500. Shoulda put efforts into that instead of gallia where u only get shot up by npcs so no one ever goes there.

1) PVP whores would then get ABSOLUTE free reign. We cant do that. all those rules are out there to make RP Possible, and not dependent on avoding Upholders with krakens.
And there is No way to make that Impossible to do. If you just abuse the FL ID, Awith no rules OOC would happen all over.

2)Rule lawyers are far better than PVP whores being a Dominant force In discovery. Its the lesser of two evils. And yes, Gallic NPC"s need toned down.And Igiss Has said Wat he wants done, And thats what gets done. The idea of a big OORP NUB system that only Nubs can get in too for An Indoctrination was shot down by Igiss.

I think absolutely you need rules--clear rules (like the technology compatibility chart, tech rules like the rep ninja for IDs)--not subjective, always changing, amorphously defined and constantly minute-by-minute player influenced ones...or forum lobbies forcing random reinterpertations of them on a daily basis.

Imagine playing chess where my "definition" of your queen was, "She is a pawn" and my definition of all my pawns was, "They are all queens". Or you put me in check with superior play so I "nerf" your pieces so they cannot capture my king--or have a temper tantrum and knock the board over because you won't let me win. My point here though was simply, united and sensible and fair player attitude trump rules and technology everytime. WE are the rules if we exemplify them and set the example of them. And I have been on servers with incursions of "game breaking dweebs"--there are ways to stem their tide and get rid of them without everyone having to cheat too.

I agree the hipocrasy needs to end, although those damned cap whore need to all be banned or make it so their ship can only be bought on Xerna. The bomber whores have a giant weapon hat kills anything in just a few shots. We need to boost the price of that weapon to like 50,000,000 credits from now on, I mean if you're gonna have a weapon like that you should really work for it.

The missile spamming is sickening to me, if you can't shoot a thrusting starflier from 900m then you really need to step up your game, bots/bats are really weak if your freighter can't take a SN, then your should see about getting a capship and give it like 3 or 4 missile turrets.

People who don't even have the decency to say hi while out there should be even considered part of the community anymore it gets lonely out there. Show some respect to your fellow trader. To the bullies who think it's ok to beat up on someone's battleship with their big bad gunboat really needs to find a new outlet for their dwindling self-esteem. it's pathetic how someone decides to take the easy way out and run for the nearest base every time someone tries to confront their transport with anything bigger than a light fighter, so what if your dealing with for guys with SNACs battle razors, and cap 8 armor it's their damn right to do so be a man and show those guy what you and that Zoner whale's firepower is worth.

And finally, the people who whine about these things much whorse the people who take the time to criticize other about complaining about these things really needs to step away from their computer for like I don't know a couple of months maybe?

i completely agree with the above statement regarding that gun bombers can have that levels everything in a few seconds.

100000 capacity shield 1 shot from that gun, oops we have 6/7th of our shiled left, that is totally rediculous :/


but what i found really sad, the other day i was passing through new york, and its fairly busy as usual, sombody asked a simple question and was hounded down by the 7 people that bothered to answer him/her.

i just couldnt believe the simple lack of respect he/she was recieving over a simple question, i wanted to just go "STFU U C*NTS AND HELP THE GUY" but i refrained (because id be massively rules lawyered and sanctioned banned and all the rest of that red tape that comes free with curse words. I simply answered his question before after saying //wow, cant you just help the guy out......


I got gang raped in my BMM shire transport by 4 people with bombers and antimatter cannons with |Reaver at the end of there name, after they made me pay them 500,000 for an "escort service", then they suddenly say halfway throught the run "sorry we work fo the molly republic time to die" before that sentence was done i had no shield, and i was in an asteroid field. Shire + Asteriod field + 4 bombers = dead me + veryangryface

however i seem to be one of the only people that arent into the "blame game"

Honestly, I am an Angel and my time on my Angel character is minimal. Having said that, I would probably have more hours than some in the Angels. I do my Angel work on all of my other characters, especially my =LSF= and Zoner characters whenever I see someone in need of help.

Just because the tag is not visible does not mean we are not doing our job.

Sounds like they got you pretty good there. With solid rp and a nicely setup trap. If you beleve you get 4 bomber escorts for a reasonable price maybe you deserve to be blown up. Don't make this a trial by forum vs people that merely yet firmly show they outclass you.
