I was thinking, why do all jumpholes look exactly the same? Excluding the Nomad gates, they all are identical blue swirlyness. I think if you're traveling at X/Miles per second, they should take the form of the body you're passing through.. could they be made to look like the environment?
Some examples.. reddish, in the Bretonia area, blue in Kusari, Tau's, Greenish in the Alpha/Beta/85 regions, Yellow/Orange in the Rheinland Cloud and Omegas (Who's name escapes me..)
I think it would add a bit of diversity to the game, and it would make sense. Natural phenomena are rarely identical.
Yes it can be done, easily as well. Creating a new effect for the actual hole, a little more complicated. All cut scenes can be edited too for the most part.
