i was wondering, how come when a little npc fighter flies into your battleship, the battleship gets blown off course? shouldn't the fighter just bounce off instead of sending the battleship flying way off course? is there any way of fixing this? (admins)

We tried. Its something resident in the FL Code, would need source code to fix

The FL engine game was not designed for capital ships and so it doesn't take proper account of the ship mass when two objects collide. Annoying but we're pretty much stuck with it.

True and not true, there is one solution that might work but changing between capital ships and fighters would be a pain if it was put in place.

it's a shame, because it can get very annoying when you are trying to destroy a liberty dreadnaught and one of the escorts hits you making you miss...:(

My advice? Fly with an escort and shoot them first. Don't let them keep rolling you around, especially if they're a bomber.

or what we talked about in another thread make the NPC visible from farther.

It can solve this and more.

Battleship ramming is so annoying, and the larger the ship, the worse it gets.

Solution: don't get capships (hypocricy)

i like Weedalots idea, but it is a shame that you can't stop then from doing this. would it not be possible to program them the same way as the story mode battleships, but continue to allow them to move?
