Saker sighed as the Peregrine gracefully slid into a nebula to lick its wounds.

He slid slowly out of the control chair, stretching his back slowly, and then yawned. Controlling the Peregrine was painfully tiring. He remembered the shuttle though, and forgetting he was only wearing shorts, made his way down the stairs and into the Nursery.

It was dark, like a giant cavern. Lights blinked around from the various Children sitting near the walls. Far below him (The platform he stood on was about half way up the room, leading out into the middle of the spherical room. At the end, and in the middle of this sphere, sits the shuttle that had arrived) he could hear the sounds of children being repaired by the fixing machines on the floor.

He slowly walked forwards, and each step he took brought on a new pair of lights, one on each side of the walkway. About 30 feet along, and about halfway there, he paused, and watched as the side of the shuttle slid smoothly open.

"Hello?" he called, cautiously.

A woman stepped out of the shuttle, and, seeing no weapons on her, he moved forwards to greet her. She took one look at him and a thin eyebrow rose at his state of undress.

"Oh... sorry about that, was in a rush earlier."

He blushed, and she giggled at him. She was about 5 inches shorter than his 6 foot 1. She cast her eyes over him, and he blushed again, realising that while he used to be in great shape, recent months of inactivity and a few too many drinks had left him not looking great topless. His hand reached up to scratch his stubble awkwardly. Finally, she opened her mouth to speak.

"Thank you for.. Helping me.. Saker was it?"

She smiled at the man, he was unkempt and had a rough stubble, but he was still an handsome man. She looked around the launch bay.. She saw the strange ships around them, and the weird architecture off the ship itself, she felt a bit scared. But the man standing in front off him made her feel a bit safer.
He smiled and said, still a bit blushed:

"Yes Saker, and you are?"

She quickly pulled herself together and smiled and extended her hand at him;

"Cassandra, Cassandra Michaels"

She looked down at the black box by her feet and lifted it up to show Saker.

"And this, is the begining off an Virus that can kill the Nomad's once and for all."

Saker stumbled slightly as he moved further forwards.

"The end? Of the Nomads?"

It started as a rustle, and then, like lightning, they were surrounded by the Children. Voices ripped from them, questions.

The end? The Blue Monsters? We can kill them? Who are you? Who is she Father? Can we kill them? Kill them all? Oh, she's pretty Father! What's in the box? Ooooh, let's play catch! Who are you miss?

"Hush" muttered Saker, and the voices died. Cassandra had jumped backwards at the dozens of ships that had appeared around them, and he smiled.

"Come then Miss Michaels, you best explain to me how this thing came into being, and how I can help you."

He led her to one of the 6 rooms that existed in the Peregrine, excluding the Nursery. This one he called the Meeting room.

He grabbed a T shirt from one of the Chairs, and invited her to sit on one of the ones clear of various writings and other leftovers from his work. He sat down on another, and waited for her to begin.

It was such a haze, his mind had cracked, it was hard for the eentity to get it into order again but it tried. It had extended it's consciousness trough out the shell it resided in now. It probed the memories of it's host and started to sort trough the human's mind. It had no control of the body yet, but it would, eventually. It had family, much as itself, but not, at the same time. The entity crawled and twisted itself deeper within the mind of what was once called: Sturm. It found images of hundreds of the entities called Humans, and spacecraft, made of the furnished metalls that it itself disliked so much. It always preferred and enjoyed itself inside the body of others of his own kind. It filtered trough the memories but stopped at the memory of an image produced by a comptuer, an image of a bacteria, a organism that where one of the building blocks of normal organic life. But perhaps this was important, it served as an begining for his search, to know what drove the shell he resided in.

Images of Viruses, bacteria and other organisms flashed trought the memories.. Until it stumbled upon an image, of a Virus called: Hades.. It stopped and felt the urge to flee, it had the suspicion that it was dangerous, perhaps not now. But could be, only if it had the clarity to see what it would all mean.. In the end..

The body of Sturm shifted as it lay, it's legs twitched and it fell out of the bed.
