Don't they both suck? Why not get a proper transport? Well I'm sure theres folks willing to help newbies out. You want to trade, join a trade corp they will set ye up.

I'd wager a freighter would survive an attack better than a transport in the right hands. Evasion always takes precedence over endurance, and freighters are simply more fun to fly. Besides, he's working his own way up; self-reliance builds a trader who can survive the harsh realities of space.

I started in a freighter, I made my own way up without asking for or wanting help. You just have to be smart and cagey.


As for the topic at hand; get the Camara. You're going to miss flying one once you grow out of it.

The now defunct Universal Trade Council gave me my first ship, pretty basic but I built up from there. I'm now the proud owner of a Liberty Super Transport. So yeah join a corp they will help you out.

the Camara is a great ship in my opinion, infact I think it was my first trading ship in my history of using disco....built up the funds by mining silver back in the days of .84 until I saved up for a transport, then a basic train

the Camara is really a great ship

and silver, not everyone wants to join a corp
honestly, it's better for you if you start out from the ground up and work your way to the top without getting funding from others

it really adds to the experience when you finally upgrade to a bigger transport
plus you really get a better chance to learn more on the way...and actually interact with pirates without them trying to blow you to kingdom come the first time you meet them

Camara, ohh U so sexy, i spend so many hours on it, i even made up another, when i had my ATrain, just to outrunn every Pirate and Police all over sirius. Its simply unstoppable.

Yeah its a damn import, but the nicest one. can Jinx make an Camara replacement?? Pleeeease!

Hmmmm, depends on which way you plan to go really.

If you are eventually going to be a Pirate, go for the Drom, those 3 forward guns can mount all kinds of interesting things.

If you plan on making a full tilt Trader, take the Camara, heavier hull and the darn thing goes thru asteroid feilds like they don't exist, even the densly packed ones.

I'd like to see a transport based on the Camara, sort of like a super-camara, same basic shape and layout with a few extra turrets on the front and rear, with say a 3000 unit hold.... wishful thinking I know.
