Sorry Seth, Cannon, but I haven't been running any torrents, and still get the same tracert. I'd say it some random internet thingy, except for, if I recall correctly, Seth and I approach the server from two different geographical directions (yeah, I know, not necesarrily different internet directions but.. we both have last two hops the same before slamming into metrosomething and getting tossed away... so, any other ideas except the micro torrent? (yeah, I know it's purely academic now)

Try closing everything related to the internet, on all your computers (basically, don't use the internet at all) then run freelancer.

I have... currently, it works like a charm. Actually I allmost crashed to Planet Wight replying this.. anyhow, you've seen the tracert. The net is good untill the package reaches that one spot.. so, bottom line, it's some glitch along the way.

Yeah I'm getting a similar problem too. I dunno what to do. I'll keep watching this thread until either an answer comes up or until I get fed up and post all the specific details I can muster. Heh. x.x

Just to clarify something, the server will not respond to pings and that means that tracert won't work.

The usual reasons people get massive amounts of the red lag indicator flashing are (in no particular order):
- Bad wireless
- Bad wireless
- Bad wireless
- Bad wireless
- Bad wireless
- Bad wireless (in particular the Telstra wireless internet connections in Australia)
- Server load/bugs/internet

There are other reasons but wireless links are the usual reason.

It seems you are anti-wireless! Hah!

Well I'm running on a wired connection. Hard coded IP etc etc. It seems to be working sometimes now. So I'm getting somewhere. ^_^
