the pink one works - the other ones don t look much like spawns of disco freelancer - when it comes down to what humans in this setting are able to do.

and besides - i t hought the order was in a resouce and financial crisis. - which part of the roleplay is going to be roleplayed then?

the order that is hard pressed by the guild and the nomads and about to loose ground? - or the order that is dwelling in highest tech artifacts building a secret superfleet. - both CAN work.... but they don t go well alongside one another.

Actually more like Order investing into something that can work as the new operations base with a final effort before the crisis hitting it. Due to the "foreseen coming" of such a risk, Order started to put effort in how to mobilize the most out of its stationary assets, being able to sustain the service for medium sized craft, providing docking and repairing to the fleet small craft since what we plan has certain loss of assets as you know Jinx.

Therefore, this ship (base) will be like a "final breath" thingy. Its why the engines will fail, because it has been worked on with risks, inadequate personnel and resources but with forcing necessity.

Its like "move what you can before the fire hits this floor".

well - if you want some super-mega-ultra dreadnought thingy - how about this?

i have placed three zoner juggernauts near it ( just to point out how large it is ) - the front "dock" would allow a few osiris battleships to be maintained. - the engine is about as large as newark station - and it got 6 additional engines on the wings that are each as large as the lib DN engine.

the tower alone is cruiser sized - and it made no sense placing a few fighters around it, cause you d not spot them anyway among the stars. - the whole ship is ( if compared ) about 3 times the length of a barge, 4 times as tall and 6 times as wide.

in terms of ingame distances - you d prolly need cruise to get from one end to the other. in other words - totally carried away:laugh:

edit: if you like i ll attach a sign to the rear of the ship saying "we break for nobody!"

Wow,that looks awesome Jinx.
but I also like the second photo which Seith gaved.
It is similar to Order carrier in some parts.
Those antennas at front,long straight body,that curved part on top at front part reminds me a bit on carrier front part.
Anyway I like both models :)

Ohh and I like the size of Jinx model because there is really enough space for Osiris to moore for repairs and stuff.Very good for RP.

to make things clear... a ship of that size ( even as a stationary base ) "should" not be put into the game. - it is beyond what humans can build.

those are "star wars" sizes. its fun to think of it and fun to see a ship that is actually the size that a "small battleship" ought to be like - if sizes were serious in freelancer. - but in terms of believable roleplay - and with the recents weeks RP on fun lore included in the game - i wouldn t support any more experiments with an easy going approach on lore, custom objects or other stuff.

things need to be thought out, serious and logical. - in other words - no faction in sirius should be able to build something THAT large.

( the barge is large, too - but its a factory with engines and a long train container section )
