I've decided to try and buy a saber, but it needs a char name. I was thinking of something like Eagle-23 or something cool like that, any thoughts?

It depends do You want to name ship like 'eagle-23', or maybe You want to name it with name and surname of its pilot. In some clans such 'naminations' are given to ships lower classes than GunBoat (I mean VLF, F, HF, VHF are having fe Corsairs|John.Novak) and Gunboats and caps fe Corsairs|Conquistador.

Eagle is not very good name for a ship, which is Sabre, because we have Eagle fighter and it is civilian.

I know what you mean, I'm just not very good at naming things. I was thinking of calling a call sign and Eagle-23 was the first thing that came to mind. anybody got any suggestions on this?

One word names are my fetish. Callsigns like birds or animals or descriptive words i tend to go for. Try something like:

Falcon
Manticore
Furious
Relentless
Deliverance

Ok so perhaps the last three were more like capital names.
