Firefly: Redesigned

So, this is a relatively simple, but touchy subject for some people. Currently the Firefly is an import people love to hate, and hate to love. You want it in, or you don't.

So I'm proposing a relative middle ground, with a strong leave towards win. A Firefly styled transport model I threw together over the last few days.

Built in Bretonia, the Firefly is one of the favorite ships for freelancing traders in Sirius. In addition to generous cargo hold, this vessel is well-defended against pirates and has decent maneuverability for ship of its size. Although Firefly is usually used for legal trade, presence of hidden caches inside the ship hull make her perfect for carrying contraband goods.

It looks kinda like a Liberty <strike>Dread</strike> Carrier.
Still, what would be nice is to give it a more BWish look. Kind-off a mix bretonian and BW design.

Keep the same general shape of the firefly, just freelancer-ize it.

This looks like a liberty ship, we have enough of those already. The firefly is, according to it's infocard, bretonian.

The front of it I don't feel looks Bretonian enough. Other than that, it is a great design that I'd be happy to fly in replacement of my Firefly. (Though I'll probably upgrade once it does get replaced anyway xD)

My recommendation would be to make the nose and those side things more Bretonian looking. Bretonian Transports traditionally have their bridges located at the front of the ship.

I was thinking of suggesting an infocard edit to throw its origins more to Bretonian edge colonies, ie, the Tau systems and giving it a bit of design differential to imply a more exotic origin.

I like it, except for the front section. It just doesn't look very...Bretonian. Whilst I can appreciate the idea of it having origins more towards the edge of Bretonian space, I still think it should follow the basic Bretonian design. But bah, what do I know.

Its actually what you know and think that I'm after. That forward section was redesigned numerous times now.

Even though you plan for the Firefly to be sort of 'borderworld Bretonian' I still feel the front doesn't match the rear. I'm trying to think of something that would work but it's hard, the ship would look odd if you gave it a Firefly-ish front xD
I feel like it should be rounder and on an upward angle because of how the cargo bay doors are shaped.
