Born on planet Junyo in 798A.S., my parents fled the Kusari house, during the troubles in the Nomad war. My mother and father raised me in Kusarian tradition, and though I was an only child, taught me the importance of upholding the family's honor.
One of the most honorable professions in Kusari is that of the police, or navy- Protecting the Kusari citizens. Another is that of Samura, and to a lesser extent, Kishiro, working to keep Kusari technology as the best in Sirius, and maintain the good economic welfare of all of Kusari.
So it occurred to me that, perhaps, the most honorable thing I could do for my family would be to return to our ancestral home, and serve in a role which fits both categories... Thus, my interest in applying to the Security division of Samura.
To that end, my father, supporting my decision, had given me keys to an old storage hangar on Planet New Tokyo. Within, my uncle's interceptor, a Griffin class fighter, had sit for about three years. He served as a defense pilot for Samura as well, and never failed in his duty. His reward was to be poisoned, by sympathizers for the Blood Dragons.
He left everything to my father, his younger brother... And due to the method of his death, his fighter simply sat gathering Dust. I've already inspected the vessel, and though it's armor suite is a bit outdated, the rest of the craft is fully operational, and up to date. The house which I live in was my uncle's as well, and though I've only now seen some of his old battle holograms... They have solidified in my mind the honor in my choice.

A brief background and why you are interested in working for Samura Heavy Industries
Well, I was born and grown on the Yokohama Shipyard. I'm not the smartest guy around, so I chose not to go to university and after graduating from School, I began working with my dad - first as a helper, to carry stuff, help during ship repairs and such. After aquiring "Flight license", I found a niche that could suit me - flying these things all all around the Kusari. Though, I couldn't afford ship to get along on my own, so I applied as Performance tester for new vehicles on same Shipyard. Was lucky to get the place, as one tester died few days ago due to hearth attack. Fly a ship for a week, haul some resources, meet the pirates, test ship at all speeds and write a report for engineers to put a "Quality check passed" chip into the systems. Then one week is free. And so, here I am, 20th years in same job. My needs aren't big, got no kids or wife. So I've collected quite some credits over time.
But man... same space... same cargo... same routes and pirates... It might be a sport's interest or mid-age crysis, but I want to explore the sirius, relax on Spa, taste Rheinland Beer, hold an artifact in my hand at least once. I heard there're Orbital Colonies, Different types of Trade Lanes somewhere out there. I want to travel, admire and gather quite some of credits while doing so to be able to afford all the luxurious joys i'll meet on the way.
