to help server load at peak times. we need to do is kick votes like on some of the battlegroud and other pvp games i play
some does nothing but sit around ruining gameplay with there lolwutting crap. place a kick vote over the console with a short player description of that the noobs are doing. like this
CONSOLE: kick vote- pwn_you_Face - LOLwutting and pvp whoring
CONSOLE: kick vote- pwn_you_Face - idle when spoken too, even when pm'd
then, make a command
/kickyes - to kick
/kickno - to not kick
i know this might be abused probably, but in order for this to work, 40-50 players should participate. as there are always 100+ on at least 24 hours a day. giving a wider range of people 75% would have to vote yes.
What stops me from making up some story to get a guy who's pirating me kicked? Also, there's no way to motivate enough people to vote no matter how much someone wines.

that is why i said they need a large number of people who would vote before it would do anything. 10-20 people wont cut it.
maybe make saying lol or emoticans a cheat.
so every time they say this, they get flagged for cheating. and kicked. after a while. they'll log to the forums and read the rules.
Seriously, people on discovery can be so selfish sometimes.
If they are doing something wrong - sanction them, so they know you are serious and that you can learn from it.
Votekicking, kicking in general... these things ruin fun for people. It might be that it might improve the fun of loads of other people, but how would you feel if you were kicked? Its almost like scamming... in some ways.
IMHO, have you tried talking to the person in a calm, logical manner?
Maybe get others in the system to try to "educate" this person?
If several people agree on this "lolwutter", then several people telling this person the same thing will have greater effect.
If there is an ANGEL around, it'll be good to get them talking.
Can we make disco a bit friendlier to new players?

Totally agree there, we don't need to be able to kick people of, that will just make our community smaller because people will get angry and leave.
Seriously, mate, this isn't some PvP server. If somebody just randomly disappears in the middle of something it's called 'F1ing' and you get in big trouble for it. It would disrupt RP; I mean, this would bring a whole new meaning to the word 'Gank.'

Actually, I think a warning (followed by a kick) for saying "lol, omg, wtf," etc, etc, in system chat would be a pretty great idea. No vote-kick though, too much abuse potential. Somebody go poke Cannon.
i don't think this idea is good. people shouldn't be vote-kicked at any reason. i'm for admin-kick option. you report to admin that some_ooc_guy is flying arround, admin makes converstaion with him and decide should he be kicked or not...
giving players posibility to kick someone will not improve game, it will only make many people angry...
me, for example, i ignore everyone that addresses me OOC, even on PM...i only respond if it's some kind of newbie question regarding the rules or something like that...
