indeed you are right...vertices were inverted...however in blender file that you have sent me, they are inverted in blender too.
Also, i noticed that you use same texture several times on different mesh groups but instead that you use only one material on all of them, each time you use different material. For FL ships it is enough for all mesh groups that you want to have same texture to use same material (to which that texture is applied).
It reduces size of the mat file considerably and makes texturing easier since you dont need to deal with tons of materials.
As for textures...all of your textures should be in same folder and uploaded to Milkshape form that folder. Once you want them exported, plugin will copy them from there and put them into MAT file. If any of the files are missing plugin will ask to point it to right location of missing files. But it will do that only once...for rest of the textures it wont ask, and if missing textures are not in that folder they wont be in MAT file.
So its best to keep all of your textures that you use on the ship in the same folder. Saves you some trouble.
Yes, you are right. I especially recognized that after I exported it to Milkshape. I will look for a way to throw this material mess away and start it again, now that I know how things work.
The problem is, that I used textures from different .MAT files, so I can't just go back and use one single file. I figured out how it works basically. Just the location and the size of the textures keep bugging me.

Even with an assortment of different textures you can still link to the respective .MAT files in question. Its one of the more beneficial aspects to ship modeling.
' Wrote:Umm... how do I accomplish that? I mean, linking more then one textures from different MAT files?
I only handled this linking betwen material library and texture library in a single MAT file. GIEV tutorials!:P
That portion is handled in the .ini section of ships, just get the model in-game and working, then we're discuss those sections.
For testing purposes I'd suggest exporting a mat anyway, picking a model, then renaming both .MAT and .CMP and then replacing them. Take it for a test spin.
ok...first i hope that box around the model isnt hitbox...if it is....it sucks...:P
PM me the all INI entries that you made and will see what wrong with them...but only those parts you added..nothing else...Also i need CMP and MAT file to check the model and relink it to original rheinland textures so no additional files would be needed....i can also make you hitbox...that works and fits the ship
