Salutations, my name is Dr. Karvinian, Captain of the DSE ships Ozark and Spirit of St. Louis. I have recently become interested in applying to join the Navy's corps of engineers and civilian personnel. I have a couple of vessels that I can commission to help the Navy, as well as technical know-how. I also drive a mean repair ship.

Suffice to say, I had a good tenure in DSE, but I would like a greater challenge. Something more than simply fixing the damage pirates and other criminals do to our tradelane systems. I would like to help in any way I can. I also have a good twenty years of gate/lane construction and have access to their design schematics.

Personal ships that are currently in dry dock awaiting refit:

Ozark: Mastodon Class. My pride and joy, retrofitted with sliding robotics to help with spacewalking and construction.

Spirit of St. Louis: Mafic Class. Recently rebuilt with the latest in scanning and research equipment, including some top-secret projects.

Meramec: Repair ship. When the job requires robotic arms the size of cars, I launch this beauty.

Eagle Class. My VHF. Not much to look at really, I don't think I've ever used her for fighting much, but a modified Purple Goddess Chaingun makes a lovely welder when you're behind schedule.

I await your response.

***Transmission: End.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Dr. Perry Karvinian;

Your resume seems to be just what the naval engineer corps and logistics corps need. As you also seem to own your own ships, gained no doubt by a long run with Deep Space Engineering, this is even better.

The Ozark, your Mastodon, will likely difficult to process into the ranks of the supporting branch of the Liberty Navy. However, I am sure that this can be overcome by issuing you with the proper papers, something which I will see to myself. It would be a good addition to have a Mastodon join the Logistics Corps, a ship which due to its immense construction cost, we do not usually employ.

Your repair ship will be welcomed with open arms, likely on to the field of a raging battle. I hope you are prepared to take such a risk with the Meramec. Supply in battle is a very precarious thing, and if you're skillful at it, it could turn the tide of a closely fought skirmish.

The Spirit of Saint Louis will probably be requested if not required on any deep reconnaisance runs that we conduct in the future. It would have proved invaluable during our recon run of Hamburg earlier this year, for instance.

Your Eagle will be fine as long as it remains your personal craft without being a part of the Liberty Navy. I hope that is alright with you, but if it is not, please ask about it.
I hope you are eager to become an asset to the Liberty Navy, as I can very well see you being. Good luck, ensign Karvinian.
