Thank you Captain Trogdor. I knew that you would support me in revoking the ownership of Freeport 1's 5k Zone from CoZ and giving it back to all Zoners. This way the next time I attempt to resolve a No-Fire Zone violation, I don't have to hold my mouth shut on the account that I'm not a delegate in the Council.

I said nothing of that sort. Do not put words in my mouth. If anything, Freeport 1 should go the way of Freeport 11 and be governed by the Zoners who are actually willing to guard it.

Captain, please inform me where it states a Zoner not affiliated with the CoZ cannot enforce the NFZ? The CoZ didn't invent them, Freeport 11 was the first Freeport to install a NFZ, if my memory serves me. So you are denying us our right to defend the Freeports while at the same time complaining and whining that no one is defending them currently. Please, Captain, make up your mind so that the Freeports don't suffer. I'd also note that it is every Zoner's right to enforce the NFZ as it is the Zoner way to protect each other. If you don't allow one Zoner the right to enforce a NFZ, you are not allowing him to protect his/her people and you are forcing upon him/her a law with which they do not acknowledge. The exact reason we left House space. Need I remind you of that Captain?

Furthermore, you are openly claiming that laws the CoZ passed shouldn't be followed, which seems a bit odd as they have been in place for a long time. You are just now speaking out against them? May I ask why you held your tongue for so long? Captain if you are loyal to the CoZ, why do you make a mockery of it openly? You are doing no Zoner any favor by telling people to ignore the laws set forth, thus in effect ignoring the NFZs themselves. If you don't feel the NFZs should be in place, why are you enforcing them?

Captain, I'd also like to add that no one is governing Freeport 11 currently. That port is and has been ran by the ports administration staff. A Guard is a guard, not someone that governs something. Are you suggesting that our Guards should be allowed the ability to govern our stations when it isn't their job to do that? I remind you, a Guards job is to defend the stations, not force their rule upon them. Otherwise we are no different than a House.

Actually, Trogdor has the truth of it. CoZ has purchased the FNZ around Freeport 1 from Bretonia. Forget the fact that Bretonia doesn't own it to begin with, etc etc, however CoZ is dishing out the money so I'll grant them sovreignty over that territory.

Rule it well, delegates.

You folks seem to either be skimming my messages and not understanding what I say, or you are utterly incompetent. At no point did I say Zoners not affiliated with the CoZ shouldn't be defending Freeport NFZs. In fact I encourage my fellow Zoners to come and help me hold the fort, particularly when we're off-duty. What I took issue with was Mr. Lightwing attempting to enforce a CoZ policy when he was not a member of the CoZ, particularly one which was invalid.

Additionally if you check the council logs, you'll find that I spoke out against this and other recent policies quite extensively while they were being voted on, and I was more or less ignored, and the measures were passed blindly. I have begun to wonder if this entire mess, the formation of the ZA, the debacle we currently find ourselves in, was not carefully orchestrated months ago by certain Zoners who wanted the CoZ to suddenly fall apart so that they could move in and take power for themselves. In that light, the seemingly absent-minded voting behavior and foolish motions brought before the Council actually begin to make sense. Simply speculation, but it's an answer to a question that lacks them and has been nagging me for some time.

As for guards 'forcing their rule' upon the stations they guard, I'd like to state that I am only pushing for a return to normalcy. To get things back to the way they were before this mess started. And I never said I wished to govern any activies that go on inside the station. All I want is to get Bretonia's greedy hands out of our drawers and the Corsairs off our backs.

As for the CoZ "purchasing" the NFZ from Bretonia, well, it's really none of my concern if some of our delegates wish to fork over credits to the Bretonian government. It's certainly not coming out of my paycheck. My job is the same whether Bretonia continues to get paid or not. But Bretonia will certainly NOT be pursuing or arresting anyone within our NFZ, or they'll be turned away the same as anyone else who tries to use the NFZ as a battleground.

I'll agree with you on every point, Mr. Trogdor, except your conspiracy theories regarding fellow Zoners. Really, I am so sick and tired of hearing accusations against the factions that I am on the verge of vomitting all over my keyboard.

Ive heard Maloney from Bowex is whinging.

This captain is losing his marbles. By his own admission he was engaged far beyond the reaches of the NFZ and then attempted to bring the trouble to the door of the zoners. OPG forces will not engage any vesssel encountered within a NFZ however should ships attempt to use the freeports as a safe haven to escape our taxation efforts then they rightly should be treated as hostile. I advise that captains who consider Freeports a safehole are mistaken. We continue to honour our commitment to freeport security by not attacking any vessels stationed there. It appears Bowex however does not respect this NFZ and will happily bring fights to within that 5k radius. The perpetrator of this breach was Bowex. Not OPG.

Gracias senor Sparta for defending my parts, but I guess we should let them talk about this alone. I smell something bad between the bretonians and the zoners. The BAF forces, while I was under fire by this Shire opened fire as well and even dropped their bad guided gunboat missiles into the freeport stations. Zoner gunners immediately returned fire as expected but nothing more. It was like they wanted to miss all their shots.
We must be careful on next times, really careful.

Grimly hermano.

Trouble yourself not. We retain our integrity and honour by keeping our word. The truth will out in the end and the zoners will recognise who respects them and who abuses their trust.

We continue to respect the NFZ. As with all large organisations the zoners have a couple of plums whos stones arent in the right place. The zoners who know us and deal with us are honourable and respectable men who enjoy a good relationship with us and for that we respect their neutrality and NFZ. This will continue.
