Mining vs Trading

I enjoy mining because you need to get a group of people together in order to make it work. That was basically the core idea of the mining mod from day one. If you just sit out there in a mining ship on your lonesome you're not going to make as much as you would trading. If you get your friends together and have a good time chatting it up you'll stand to make more than you would solo trading.

Then comes the need for security etc etc etc.

However I have shot so many damn rocks poking this thing that I never want to do so ever again. I'm content with robbing people in the meantime.

I prefer mining, given that i make about the same (maybe a few million more per hour when the rocks are with me), as trading.

Trading. I just couldnt shoot rocks more than 2 minutes. it gets boring.

When we trade, there are 3 of us, we talk the entire time so its not just goto,dock,goto .. well it is, but with a conversation ... pFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFrt!!

Mining is fun becasue I do it with friends and we have a laugh while making $$$

Whereas I trade when Its just me online.

So I dont have a favorite really.

I'm more partial to trading. It has more potential for RP while still earning money. I find it hard to constantly shoot rocks AND type.

I've spent the last two days hauling ores from the mining field to the stations that pay best for it. It could be considered trading, or mining.

However, when I trade for a mining team, it's much more entertaining. We're usually a big group, a few miners, a few transports, so there's lots of chat and fun to be had.

When I trade commodities on my own though, that's really not fun at all. Going from point A to point B, RPing if I am lucky enough to meet someone who's not just lolwutting around.

Yeah, I vote mining.

Both are fun in groups, but in my opinion, mining has the potential to be more fun.

Mining sounds more entertaining but it also depends on the situation. Making a blank distinction here isn't as easy as it is thought to be.
