The server I have is UK based. Specs aren't as high as GC, but its a place to keep Discovery going. Connection is still stable at 86mb/s.

Here I am thinking my ADSL2 was fast. XD

Anyway, to run the server, you may need a static IP and a connection that is more dedicated than a home-use network.

There are other ways to get IP's without using fire transfers. I deal in networking for the US Air Force, so I know all sorts of neat little tricks that others don't know about to get IP's. Although, I either blew up his proxy server that he was using, or he won't getting back online for a little while.

Not sure which.

What about renting a FPS server?
There is quite a lot of companies hosting servers for games like BF2, Call of Duty, etc. I do know their machines were strong enough to host like 3 servers at the same time. I guess FL could run on those... We would have to pay though, but the cost could be easily covered with donations.

I don't know much about pay to play servers, but I'm pretty sure we need a similar setup that we have now so that we can install the information that we need to on the server, being that it's modded and all. On top of that we've got the whole updating executable that was developed to auto update when a mod was released.

So I dunno if it'd work, but then again...I don't know much about how those systems work.
