I think the new Dread looks sweet. I don't ask anything be changed on it. Though Old pirate ship cannons would be awesome...
I would also like the new dread over the carrier ..
The carrier. Though Jake has a good point with the OC and Sairs being known for their fighters. But this as was said brings another cap into the Outcasts which I would be 100% fine with, but the LOLWUTs would have a field day with it.
OK back to details.
The design for the Carrier isn't to bad I like the concept. But it needs to be a bit more round. Also I agree there might be to many ribs on the front of it.
Looks good though. Would like to see it with textures when you get it finished.
Umm, Yes I did notice you posted the new dread. I think the new Dread looks awesome! Though if it came down to replacing that new dread of yours with that new carrier .... I'd vote for the new dread in a heartbeat.

I agree with this guys. Though I actually seem to be one of the only people in disco that like the current OC dread. Though this new model is WIN.

Yes, it's a very sexy ship, and yes, I want to own one, and yes, I want to go and rape the hell outta....well........whoever.
But theres a point were missing here somwhere. I'm not going to say don't make the carrier, by all means do, it's some pretty bitchin work to be fair. But are the Outcasts 'Carrier' kind of people? Seriously now, they can hardly keep their bases supplied with Cardamine (for expansion) never mind keeping a whole city sized vessel doped up. Add some biodomes onto that thing and yes, maybe.
Carriers are bases of operations most of the time and supply vessels for the rest of the time. This thing would need to redock as much as any other ship with the amount of people will be crewing it (in theory), and I doubt a base like Buffalo or Cali can keep a vessel that big supplied with the Cardi it will need. And to top it, casts aren't the most populated of peeps, and crewing this will be like populating a new base. On a positive note, making it a ship like the Necrosis or the Thunderbay would be ideal, and that's the only way I can see this thing slotting in without many problems.
I'm not trying to throw a spanner in the works, I wish i was here earlier to join in the chat. I'm just puttin it out there, see what people think.
I half way agree with this guy. On a few notes that is. Ok I agree the Outcasts aren't as populated as most and it would be like crewing a new base. Also us Outcasts fly in packs ... and we have learned how to live by doing this, "Staying in the jumpholes". Next off I disagree on the, "Seriously now, they can hardly keep their bases supplied with Cardamine". The Outcasts have no problems stocking their bases with cardimine.
But as Eppeh has said before this is a discussion of how the thing looks and what can be done to make it look better. I think if people want to sway off topic they should be making a shiny new thread.;)

Got back from my choir trip and made some additions as well as a major correction. I have further Eppified the ship, moving the ventral superstructure forward almost to the prow and adding one of my characteristic Maltese anvil-bows. A section of the dorsal arching has been removed and replaced with an observation deck and two additional turret points (bringing the total to eleven; one more may or may not be forthcoming). I've added a sensor unit directly aft of the bridge, and extended the launch bays slightly to accommodate the ribbing I've added as well.
This represents most of the detailing I did; there may be a pair of small dorsal and ventral fins, and I'm seriously considering adding latticework between the two launch bays, but before I could add any of that the model began crashing again. Eventually I broke it in two and poked around; a face delete error brought my attention to the likely source of the crash, which was an error in the rear of the model, funnily enough in the Maltese Cross atop engineering; it had overlayed itself about forty times. I have taken this as a sign from the Model God that He doesn't wish for a Maltese cross on this vessel at this time, and it has been removed; the model is functioning properly once more.
I'd also like to ask an opinion from some of our more literate users (who will surely bother to read this paragraph). In many of my Outcast ships I've added a dorsal anvil at the bow as well as the ventral one you see now. Should I remove the current wedge-like piece and add this anvil, or not? I haven't tried it yet, and I want opinions before I start acting rashly and delete large portions of an already-finicky model.

And I personally kinda like the current Dread... is that blasphemy?
Well... Current Dread has some nice shapes either, however from bottom it has very ugly textures. The current Dread also looks like not finished ship which misses most of its parts.
Comparing to Eppys new model, it is ugly dont you agree?
Carnage itself flying within void... Proud cardihead ever since 2008...
You all gonna eat cardi!
Looking great Eppy. Do you think you can add more detail to this bow section of the ship?
Its looking sort of boxy at the moment.
Also, the underside (docking bay im assuming) is looking a wee bit flat. Im guessing you will add a maltese cross to it at some point or another :)I had this idea though that you could break it up into two sort of doors (rough MS paint below) and have a Maltese cross added by texture?

I think it looks good as it is. And if you have too many anvils it wont look as bulky. The bulk makes it look heavy duty and carrier like. But, also, you might want to make a copy of it and do a rough 'sketch' then decide.
Marshal, those doors wouldn't work. Not that they'll actually open, but how would they? they'd have to slide outside of the hull. And yeah, the tip of the bow definitely needs... something different.
