Freisener had noted the presence of the doctor, and they exchanged a fleeting glance, a glance that conveyed nothing but said everything. It held compassion and the faintest trace of comradeship and admiration. He would speak to him later, he decided.
He turned his glance to the young recruit seated across him. "So young, so full of life and joy", he thought.
Katie chirped up, responding to Freisener.
"Och, a'm dae'n awright Cap'n, me bunks still a bit iffy, but tha's awright ya know? A'm only there 3 hours a night anyway."
"Wan't some Malt? Me family aye drank this brew, a'fore they wis all keel't." Katie fakes a laugh, bottling up the emotions that came flooding back.
Katie closes her eyes for a few seconds, pushing the memorys to the back of her mind. Katie hastily pours herself a glass of malt, her hand quivers as she drinks the dark amber liquid.
Freisener accepted the malt with a small grin on his face.
His voice, however, was grim and emotionless as he said, "We have all lost somebody. I have lost everybody I knew and loved, but the order saved me from utter insanity"
Shepard stormed into the bar and quikly order himself a drink
which he gulfed down straight away.
What the hell, he thought to himself
It was true that his family served in the liberty navy, but he
didn't actully believe that his own sister would end up in it.
He ordered another drink.
After a while he left.
"Though I fly through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil.
For I am 80,000 feet and climbing."

John walked into the lounge still wearing his combat
flight suit from his sortie. After quickly ordering a drink
he looked around at the bars other patrons.
"Though I fly through the valley of death, I shall fear no evil.
For I am 80,000 feet and climbing."

Katie looks up from her drink, and see's Robert.
A low "Mmmhm..." Escapes her lips, as she looks the young man up and down.
"Excuse me sir..." She off-handedly says to the Lieutenant she was speaking to, before standing and walking over to Robert.
"A've never seen you around here before lad... Whats yer name?" Katie asks, a cheeky smile spreading across her cheeks.
"Katie. Katie MacDonald. I'm still... new around here I guess." Katie licks her lips a little, and allows her eyes to roam around the mans body, still grinning widely. What a catch this is... Katie thought to herself.
