Lieutenant Alexandra Volkova was shoved into the long room and the door slammed behind her. A few seconds later, there was a hum and the nauseating feeling of gravity shifting, and Volkova found herself falling towards what was the far wall but had suddenly become the floor.
"Are you injured, Comrade Volkova?" a cold, immediately recognisable voice said over the room's speaker. "No? Good. Then we can begin. Who have you been sleeping with?"
"We know that," she growled over the speakers. "You have been sleeping with senior officers. There are only two reasons you would do that. To get a promotion, or to get information. Who have you been sleeping with, and why? And you will refer to me as Commissar."
"Commisar, I haven't been sleeping with senior officers! What do you think about me? That I'm some whore and when I want promotion I must sleep with someone?! This is pathetic."
Alexandra lay on the floor. She knew this will be long.
There was a hum, and a jolt of electricity coursed through Volkova's body. It wasn't very painful, but it was certainly uncomfortable.
"All the walls and floor can be electrified," Vicenta said. "There are ten settings. That was setting one. Setting five causes extreme agony, and in all the tests we did, I have not yet seen anyone survive setting seven. Every time you cross me, or lie to me, or avoid my questions, I turn it up one setting. That means you have... five more chances. Now if you want to see the light of day again, start talking. Who and why?"
