Great, Ive got a face. A cool face at that. Now i just need a name to go with the face...

And a name for the ship... KNF-Midway, KNF-Iwo Jimma (fail spelling) KNF-Kumamoto <---- PERFECT! It's the name of the old system that used to connect to Nagano and Honshu.

Unlike others, I seem to have a view that Kusari needs more people. However, I am against any person coming to Kusari with the wrong type of knowledge. The wiki is good, or you could ask me over skype (reavengitair) or something - though bear in mind, I'm sure there are better people who are more knowledgeable in Kusarian affairs than I am (Or more like, people have been in Kusari long than I have, though I'm not sure how my RP compares).

You're thinking of them OORP wise.

Try posting what you think they do and what they are within RP.

Oh, coming to the "civilized" corner of space I see. Well, many find it daunting and it's true, it can take a bit more time to get a handle on the certain unversal binding nature of Kusari factions that both unites them in their protection of their culture from foreign influence yet still enables them fight internally away from the same foreign eyes. Their generational racial views of "gaijin" is one of barbarism and uncivility. They feel culturaly superior to outsiders and hold onto it with a protective pride. As such it leads to a racial feeling of superiority in which "gaijin" are not privvy to any knowledge let alone access of anything beyong the "ground floor" of any aspect of the nation (yes individual exceptions take place regularly on a case by case scenario). What you get from this is a "closed-culture" scenario that is universally shared amongst Kusari natives even if they are enemies. Even the internal Kusari feuds represented by the different factions tend to be best RP'd as taking place away from "gaijin" eyes so that Kusari as a whole does not appear "weak" to the outsiders. Maintaining the image of a unified, cultural strength to outsiders is the general goal in this regard.

Then we get into what those internal feuds really are and the interweving set of connections between Lawfuls and Unlawfuls (which breeds the term Quasi-Lawful). There is two major conflicts which make up the internal theme of Kusari, one is political in nature and the other is economical in nature, both have points that interweave in the stories of the factions. The political conflict began long ago when a Samura backed coup took place and dethroned the Emporer of old and the Samurai went into exile to become the Blood Dragons. The Blood Dragons are KNF's main internal enemy as they intend to reinstate the Hideyoshi line back to the throne. This conflict is usually typified as a Samura-backed Shogunate using allies like the Hogosha to fight against Blood Dragons secretly funded by GMG using allies like GC. There's many rumour cards on the roles the factions play in this conflict within their respective bases.

The other conflict, the economic one, involves Kishiro and Samura. Both are heavily in competition with each other to being the dominant company in Kusari. Both competed heavily for the GMG contract which Kishiro is now the holder of. Both are competing heavily to corner markets within the house. There is the heavy agenda that puts an unlawful shadow on all this and that is one that is perpetrated first by Kishiro's partners, GMG, and is responded in kind by Samura. GMG had began, sometime ago, to fund the Blood Dragons and pay them hansomely to keep Samura from developing in Hokkaido as GMG stomps out any H-fuel competition (even with GMG doing raids on Kruger's Mannheim themselves until about 8 yrs ago). Samura has responded in kind using Hogosha to undermine Okinawa.

A couple other smaller goals but significant to Kusari theme is Farmer Alliance which fights off the influx of foreign trade, particularly Synth Paste, which made a huge impact on Kusari's farming industry. FA are actually Samura's agents as the foreign trade is having a direct impact on their industries in Kyushu and Shikoku. The GC are women who are fighting for equal rights, an extremist group that fell into the need for piracy. Most likely the by-product of a cardimine addiction the ladies picked up. They work at times with the BD as they both want to unseat the current regime but with different goals.

Now there is a strong tie between GMG and Kusari but please note that GMG is sovereign and independant of Kusari rule. We are friends in general as our economy is intricately tied, this on top of the fact that GMG are Kusari descendants and a vast majority of GMG members are Kusari in blood. But this also means that you shouldn't bring your KNF BS into GMG space unless you are already in pursuit of a criminal acting in Kusari. Things get pretty sticky otherwise as I am compelled to RP GMG's fierce independance and often difficult diplomacy with Kusari. I enjoy the moments but such an event would no doubt come on the heels of your BS getting blown by the sudden appearance of BD and GC bombers in our space and the dissappearance of GMG ships from the area.

Now to add some confusion to the ordeal, almost everything above is a secret to one or more groups involved in it. I'll step back now and allow for any amendments or additions the other factions may be able to clear up. Good luck and if it works out...welcome to Kusari.

Also note too that Kusari is an expanding empire. Samura and the government have invested a lot into the Taus. War is a big risk, with an even bigger payoff!

A BS may well have fun in the Taus and Bretonia - but again, remember the risks...

No, I mean - simply, within RP what would you say that the factions are.

eg: KNF, the Kusari Navy, etc.

Cam I just feel saddened that you will miss out on 70% of fights / rp chances and group activities in Capital ship and never really learn anything about Kusari with that ship.

If I might suggest one cap (since you're soo hot about it) and one smaller ship to participate in things?
