Wait, we have a feedback thread?

Yeah... only way IND get caught is with metagaming...

In that case, it was metagaming.

' Wrote:Adding to the above, when you're caught own up and face the music... To be honest, it's ridiculous that somone can submit images of you smuggling, then you can just claim it was faked and everything gets smoothed over. I'd like to see the IND actually get caught once in a while...

You can of course claim such things, and there is always the matter of whether or not the governments even want to prosecute if they do have evidence. Not to mention the greasing of palms that no doubt occurs, previous arrangements, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, the list goes on. They are not simply saying "it's faked" and that magically makes the evidence invalid. I have no doubt that Rheinland would be fully capable of suing them with the evidence they've collected over the years, but I don't think they want to. I didn't take the IND response to that as trying to magic out of getting caught... they responded exactly as they should have, within RP. Plus, the Rheinland gov't responded first (and second). I thought it was quite well done, actually.

As in real life, things in roleplay never actually go quite the way they were planned sometimes. You can't
expect to take on a huge Military machine, and a lumbering corporation and get away squeaky clean.
This is roleplay of course, and I hope the original anonymous poster can tell the difference.
I would hate to think there is anything else involved.

Regarding the "I have pictures of what you did" case I have to say something simple but effective.

Unless the civilian is not sneaking into the hold of said trader (regardless if its IND or belonging to another corporation) and making a movie while doing so, where you actually see the pills in the hold, governments cant just sue or kick someone out. Even this movie could be faked somehow. Same goes for scanner data.

Recieving a complaint or pictures of criminal acts will cause the government to start investigations like in the case of the IND.

I have some nice things coming along the RP road for the IND and the Rheinland government. Just be a bit patient.

It is not about kicking people out of a house for their evil deeds, but about the roleplay which follows.
The current case is not beeing ignored by anyone of us as you can see.

Besides that I could throw out 5 to 10 corporations for doing illegal stuff refering to screenshots someone made on different chars.
Unless its not House Military or police providing pictures in reports, it can't lead to serious frictions between a certain house and the said corporation.

To make this feedback thread worth its name, I like how the IND performs in general or employs lots of lawsuits.

By the by, I was on a =CR= character when this happened. Haven't made much of a deal of it amongst =CR= yet.

Akurawr, if you've nothing that isn't offensive to post, don't post.

Edit - actually, I'm not asking about the ID again. Not getting fussed over it at this time of year.

No, I mean, most of the time, it's metagaming.

Like an Outcast switching to an LN to catch them on the return, very few times it's a legit catch.

And IND RP specialises in walking out of such situations with everyone happy.

Problem with IND is, no one actually likes them per se, everyone just uses them to get stuff done... kinda.

Sorry, where do the =CR= enter into this, and what deal are they going to make of it ? This is becoming
metagaming here and now. The RM would not have taken one individual's word for it, without informing
the accused of the charges. The =CR= were never party to that.
If the character posting said charges had done a touch more homework before clicking *add reply* with
a smug grin behind his keyboard, we possibly wouldn't be having this conversation.

Incidentally smuggling is not an unlawful action per the rules, our ID used to specifically except smuggling from the illegal stuff we couldn't do, but the status of smuggling meant that it wasn't necessary to exclude it from stuff we couldn't do. Ergo we can smuggle Cardamine. And we can smuggle as much of it as we can fit into our holds and as many holds as we can fit onto the server at one time.

I never mentioned RM, and I haven't the foggiest where you got the idea that I did from. I'm talking about an [IND] tagged luxury liner that flew through the Taus.

Thanks, Del. That was what I was wondering.

ETA - and to add to that, I see plenty of smugglers about, but that was the first ever [IND] tagged one I saw. Which was why I inquired. How something hauling cardi bumping into a =CR= fighter on the other side can be construed as metagaming is ... confusing, to say the least. But I've got the answer to the one question I had (regarding the ID).

Apologies Thurgret, seems we had crossed wires. jammi's post was the entirely unnecessary one.
Nothing to do with your incident at all. The rest is concerning something else.
