Actually I believe that Liberty is at the best place it could be.
Not getting involved.
You cannot go to Kusari's land and start "insuring" some things.

This isn't a war between two scrap countries so that "Big boss" can come from downstairs and "police" the situation. War between two houses where any involving will cause Liberty to suffer.
And noone from Liberty wants Liberty to suffer.

Refugees are actually allowed trough the Kusari space, only thing that's not allowed is to have Bretonian ships haul them from there.

As for Corsairs. They did some good things, they did some bad things. Hessians effed them up, and ETA stretched their defenses bit. But with Leeds falling down, Cambridge smells more and more like Corsair land day by day

First at the start of this post, as if Liberty could be seen as peacekeepers when they are the aggressors in the war agaisnt Rheinland.

Also I'd like to see Liberty try to aid Bretonia, only to lose the war with Rheinland and then be on bad terms with Kusari as well.

I would disagree there.

I think Liberty is actually in a very precarious situation right now.

They are going to become more and more reliant on Kusari for foreign goods. Bretonia is going to have less and less capacity to manufacture or produce goods for a foreign power - they will have to devote more of their energy sustaining themselves.

What happens when Kusari captures Leeds? They could then start raiding supply lines right into Manchester. What will Liberty do then? Complain? Attack Kusari? By that stage Kusari could just laugh in their face - and pay the Bounty Hunters a billion credits to hold the gates against Libertonian aggression.

Would Kishiro and the GMG complain about being denied access to Liberty? Probably. But Kusari could increase their own demand for fuel, or simply say 'tough, you can still sell to Rheinland so whats the problem?'.

Liberty can fight on two fronts?

Sure they can, just like the Germans.
At least until their fuel reserves run out, just like the Germans...

I don't think the war is that close to an end. Liberty still has plenty of years to accumulate wealth before the ... hits the fan.
Your calculations are well calculated.. or how to say it.
but there's that 4th dimension - the time.

I don't think this game will see an fall of Bretonia that soon

I always thought Liberty favored Bretonia...

It depends on which way the war swings really. We all are assuming that Kusari gets the upper-hand. The first concern of everybody will be the extra power that Kusari now wields.

Relations could go sour really quickly if you have an upcoming giant on your borders.

Kusai's blitz attack of Bretonia is over, this is the long drawn out part of the war.
There will be no winners of this conflict for a while, I don't think anyone has to worry about a defeated Bretonia.
having said this I still don't see Liberty taking sides in this conflict one way or another.

Bounty Hunters would do no such thing, no matter how much money they make. The criminal source in Liberty is too great, and even if the bounty hunters did accept, Liberty would probably, not just kick all bounty hunters out but not attack the bounty hunters, thus forcing the bounty hunters to attack a well entrenched Liberty, which by the way outgunns Rheinland by 2:1.

It's be interesting to see some humanitarian aid moving from liberty to brettonia. Might make for a good RP event with a big convoy full of foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals for the refugees.

Actually I'm surprised that there isn't some sort of interstellar red cross or salvation army in sirius.

why doesn't interstellar red cross go to Crete then?

When you supply an refugee with meds and foods he can fight again.

The logistics service of the LN has been shipping goods off and to Bretonia for a while now, you might have noticed [LN]-LNT or LLS ships wandering about in Bretonian systems, mainly Leeds, providing humanitarian aid to LD-14, which is pretty much stranded at this stage of the war.
