Admin Notice: Lost characters and server

Due to technical difficulties approximately 10 percent of the player database has been corrupted. We are restoring characters from the last backup (<strike>7</strike>20 hours ago). The server will be offline until this is complete and this is expected to take about 1 hour.

Update:
Backup has been restored. The backup was 20 hours old not 7. Some players will find their ships rolled back to the backup while other players will not be affected.

Unfortunately it will not be possible credit you for lost time/money/equipment/missions/role play or cargo.

The server is back up. Post here if you are missing characters OLDER than 20 hours.

If you find that you have more than 5 characters in your account then delete/strip/move the excess otherwise the account may become corrupted.

I've been playing my character Talking_Head for the last 5 hours or so. Running vips and tourists all over this sector. I was finally on my way to purchase a percheron on planet leeds. Am I going to have to do all those runs over again?

From what he said... Yeah. Those chars wont be backed up, so can not be restored.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I believe that any characters created within the last 7 hours and whatever you have done (like trading) in the last 7 hours will be gone. Everything will be like it was 7 hours ago.

Edit 2: All chars you had 7+ hours ago will be there. (I hope)

Laissez-faire, if you did all of that within the last 7 hours, then yes, it looks like you'll have to do that all over again.

Also, Cannon, you say the server will be online until this is complete... is that supposed to be offline, or are you restoring the backups and whatnot while the server is still going?
