I found this video I made few months ago while OPG still lived. I hope text is good enough to understand because it covers some things you shouldn't do while trading.
Afk while trading is a bad idea.
When faced by two pirates who didn't blow you up yet, surrendering might be a cool thing to do.
Talking about your Rogue / OC / Corsair characters that are pirate's brother do not work either.
Docking on the base of the guy chasing you isn't a smart thing to do as well.
As for Pirates, this sheds some light on cargo piracy and perhaps offers a chance to see how to behave with all the things listed above. Once someone has done something wrong, the worst you can do is forget about him. He docks at your base? Lure him out. If you want, you can report him later, but the point is that you get what you wanted.
Shooting afk traders is something you either do, or don't. Depends on situation. But the way that guy ran, I swear I'ld kill him now in Cambridge.
Either way, if text is readable, you might get some insight in corsair piracy, some roleplay, talking smack in group chat, and realizing where did my money come from.
Thanks.
Yeah, I have met hundreds of those. And they never learn. Well perhaps they do, but there is lots of others standing in the place to replace them. Anyhow free cargo of 3000 units as a refund for me. But in the other hand most of the time it doesn't make up for it if you do not find with who to actually roleplay.
The most sick part is, they give you 500 cargo from 1200 requested, and later run away saying "I paid u can't keel me"
Mehh, those are the worst kind of traders you can met, I gave up from pirating with Sair char, cause I was sick of such traders, I pirate around NY now in Bayonet, and have good fun. :)
Anyway, such traders deserve to get blew up.
The most upset I get is when they start mentioning their characters from Corsairs. That seems to be the biggest issue. Inability to detach from certain characters.
Either way, I hope some people turn from credits extortion to cargo piracy now
Huzah for cargopirating! But these are the worst traders to encounter allright! Blow them up a couple 'o times and they might get the idea. With the propper RP ofcourse!
By the way, i'm in the vid:D. That BishopSz is me in my early freelancer days.
I've had that happen once before - someone told me they were from an allied faction on another character during a piracy encounter.
I immediately forwent all roleplay conversations and opened fire.
It's the same sort of person who gets into a Liberty Siege Cruiser and a week later finds themselves here. I despise them. They ruin my immersion and therefore receive absolutely no mercy.:(
