She sighed again, studying her surroundings.

The room was white and featureless. There was a medium-sized, rectangular table across the center. She was sitting in one of two chairs, primarily white plastic with shiny steel legs.
Behind her on the wall was a clock, physically built into the wall, and opposite her was a large metallic door, operated by a keypad where the handle should be.

To the right of her was a mirror, probably a one-way window, and above that in the corner was a camera.

Luxuria was wearing a simple white dress, the trim passing neatly over her knees, a pair of simple white plimsoles, and a plain white longsleeved t-shirt.
Her wrists were bound with a strong fibre cable, a few inches in length, between two strong cuffs.

Her features were delicate and pretty, she had a young face, mid-twenties maybe, with long brown hair, her deep blue eyes surveying the room once again.

She waited patiently, drumming her fingers on the table-top.

The corridor reverberated with sound, the footsteps of a person. He walked quickly, in a timeless rhythm. A guard walked in front of him, stiff and alert. This assignment was one of the most difficult ever entrusted to him, and nervousness was plain on his face.

The guard stopped in front of the room 'A-26', and said "That's your stop Commander". Robert D'Souza was startled out of his train of thought, and could merely say "Uh-huh"

A few swipes of a card and the necessary fingerprint and DNA mapping tests were all that was needed for the door to open. "Thanks, I will tell you if there is anything I need", He said before moving in.

He stood there for a while, eyes adjusting to the change in light, and the occupant of the room saw a man, clearly of hispanic descent, with wild black hair and sharp features. He was trim and muscular, albeit a little less in height.

"So... Good to meet you. I am Robert D'Souza. What about you?"

"My name is Georgia, Georgia Brown. Nice to meet you Robert" she smiled sweetly and settled her hands.

Her greeting was not dissimilar from meeting a random person on the street, she held no hidden meaning, which was strange for a person of her previous line of work.

He took a seat, near the glass window. "I believe we know each other well enough to talk. I need to ask you a few questions. For your sake and mine, answer them truthfully."

"Okay, I can do that" She smiled again, "I'll do my best Robert"

She cleared her throat, then gave a frown,

"Can I please get a drink?"

"A drink? I can manage that, as long as it's not alcohol. Which do you prefer?"

"Something soft, preferably Milkshake" she flicked her hair and studied her captor.

He had a mediterranean complexion, most likely creten, he was shorter than her, and probably younger. He sported a relitively atheletic body, and his eyes always looked like he had something to hide, or something he didn't care to share.
His left arm carried differently to his right, as if it was not his own. As far as she could tell, it was real, although it lacked the glow that the rest of his skin displayed.

He smiled a bit at the oddity of the request. "Alright then". After telling the guard outside to arrange for the milkshake, he sat down again.

Eyes, are wonderful things. They never lie, and they reveal the innermost feelings of the heart. Georgia's eyes revealed the faintest traces of far-away trauma, but little else. Even as Robert was trying to digest it, the Milkshake arrived.

"There you go. Let's start with some basics. Tell me a bit about your early life".

She sipped her milkshake, then set it down.

"Well I was born in a transport bound for Manhatten, but my dear mother went into labour early, so technically I was born in Colorado" she sighed as she remembered her childhood, "My foster parents were my uncle and aunt, real nasty couple, always pushing me down"

She paused to sip her milkshake, then continued.

"I ran away sometime around my eighteenth birthday, sneaking on board a transport headed for New London, and that was my new home for the next few years"

She lifted her cuffed hands and pulled the hairclip from her mane, before shuffling her hair and slipping it back into place.

"I survived in the violent underworld for quite a few years, learning to live with almost nothing... But eventually, a gang or two caught up to me, and I was pretty much forced to call my granddaddy. He was in the Niobium business, so he could afford to get me off planet, and into a ship"

She stopped and smiled at him,

"And that is my early life Robert"

Robert noted it all down, sighing as he knew all this would take ages to confirm, and most of it would likely remain unconfirmed. Stretching, he decided to move into deeper ground.

"How did you first get in touch with those nutcases called Phantoms?"
