So, there are a lot of sanctions that involve someone's capital ship being taken away. I had an idea regarding that. What if, instead of the ship being starflea'd, it is instead given to the cap's official faction? So a Navy cap will be given to the [LN], a Military cap will be given to the [RM], an Outcast cap will be given to one of the OC official factions, an Order cap will be given to the Order|, and so forth.

Provides the sanction and gives the official faction some more win and power!

If your committing rule infractions heavy enough to warrant being stripped of your cap, I'd say you don't have any rights.

I support this, although it may require a bit of conceptual refinement first.

1) Too much work involved.
2) It is a player sanction, not a faction giftshop.
3) Could be abused, in order to get big ships into official factions shared ships pool, and getting rid of Indy players.
4) Sanctions are imposed by the admins for rulebreaking. Sanctions are not supposed to benefit anyone.

I don't see why if a player is sanctioned, an official faction gets a new capital ship for which didn't do anything. If official factions want a capital ship, they just create it.

Sorry, but I don't think this should be applied.

Note: I'm in two factions that would get these capgifts.

Um, If the ADMINS had to get involved, then the cap ship should go poof. Otherwise a lot of Factions are going to have a glut of Cap ships and no idea what to do with them.

I can also see where someone who has done wrong would TRY to claim abuse that the Faction got possession of their cap ship, even though they committed a violation in the first place.

It's easier to blame someone else than face the consequences of their actions.

As much as I would love to have the former [RA]'s entire cap fleet sitting in my garage I feel like that would be somewhat more than a tad unfair. I mean, though the faction should have that kind of capitol lying around, did they really work for it? It was an indie player's, his misfortune shouldn't be used to benefit a faction. A sanction is a solemn and unpleasant (albeit sometimes very welcome) event. Let's not make it a windfall for anybody.
