Admin Notice: Forum Changes

Ship sales are no longer in the role-playing section of the forum.

They are now in a sub-forum in Flood.

Flood does not mean you can behave like a child by wasting forum space, annoying others or generally doing the kind of stuff you wouldn't do if it wasn't the internet.

So, if you are using the Ship Sales Sub-Forum, bear in mind the guidelines that have been pinned.

In short:

1. try to use the template
2. no spamming
3. no scamming

I think this is a good move, out of the RP sides of things...
But a Flood subforum seems a little excessive.

That said, I dunno where it would slot into the 24/7 Forum either.

I did not in any way see this coming, as Cannon did not post a thread mistakenly on the public part of the forums, as opposed to the Administrator forums, thereby alerting me about this.

In other news, I get the feeling that moving it anywhere near flood is actually going to make spamming worse. Maybe that's just because I like to relieve my own personal boredom in Flood (please don't smite me, I try to control it honest), but shouldn't it be placed in a sub-forum under FL General Discussion perhaps?

I agree that a Flood subforum is not the place for it.

Although this is rather unfortunate as I had an idea for purely RPed ship sales and there's now nothing that will require people to RP in those posts.

Disappointing, to say the least.

And to add to my previous remark about location, I think it should be a subforum of Discovery RP General Discussions. The location alone (that is, being away from Flood) would help dissuade spam, even if the posts still don't add to your post count.
