I vote for this one. Rearrange your ship and character pic so the ship doesn't overlap it, or remove the border around the character pic and cut its background out, leaving on the man.

Add an outer border.

What'd be interesting is if you enlarge the scorpion so that both of its arms would encompass the planet, giving you menacing connotations (planet crushing scorpion). But otherwise this is good enough, not too many snazzy effects.

You'd most likely have to edit the original heavily for that, but good idea Felix. As for the sig as a whole, I think that http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d70/Casi...nteScorpion.png is slightly better. Like, with the filter on the background. Makes you focus on the whole, and not just the (extremely) pretty effects.
