It should be the players having fun at whatever we come up with, which so far has been the response that I've gotten on the event.
The last event was set up quickly because we didn't know that we'd have a server available that could run these things - so I was operating under a time constraint. This time we've a month to get ready. For the BHG ships, I ... and this may sound arrogant, but ... think I have a really good grasp on the loadouts they need, for some silly reason. Order ships - well, I have many, many members of the Order that also have BHG characters to ask - as well as having a few Order ships of my own. And for the Nomads, I have already gotten into skype with Treewyrm and sent Foo a PM.
As I said for the first event, we're staging things that are supposed to have happened between 4.85 and 4.86 - and we're doing it with 4.85 ships. The players are getting the chance to be the npc's - the ones that come in endless waves, fight gallantly, and die bravely (and in mass quantities). You'll remember that I shut the event down for a while when the players decided not to co-operate with the RP that the dev team had determined would occur in 4.86, because the players like to think that their actions can influence what happens in the development of the server.

Maybe you could just give us credits and let us buy our own loadouts? Different people prefer different setups.
Give everyone 1bil credits (remove armors above a certain cap level if they are not wanted to be allowed)
Let everyone get the capspam or bomber spam ships setup how they want them
Then sit back, and pretend to be listening to A&L guy cussing you out over skype for the stuff hes having to do to keep the flood of people from crashing the server.

Yet there were quite a lot of things that were pointed as negative. Hence why people expect those to be adressed.

a) it was announced a week before, and during the whole week I kept PMing you with stuff, to be ignored. Similarly many of the other things which were not properly done (like nav maps), could be done by numerous people on the dev team and tested and re-checked on the test server
b) when we have a month now then I guess we'll do it properly.

Yes I did propose battleships on both sides to have less primaries (= 4.86 like) and more defense turrets, interestingly enough that's exactly what NPC loadouts have now (in 4.85).
Same situation for the much discussed Kusari destroyer loadout, NPCs use 1 Razor and only 2 primary turrets ( on the right spots), not exactly similar to what was the loadout available for players.
Anyway loadouts are just a small fraction of it, it's the way you decided to runs this that's problematic.

Yes, the KNF/GRN event was fun, and I stayed up till 5am shooting Valors. But there are several things that can be done better. And we'd like to see them done better so that more fun can be had.
I'll write up a semi-comprehensive list when I get home from work, because I'm fleeing this accursed windowless place right now.
But just because you 'know' something, doesn't mean someone else looking it over won't spot any errors or things that can be done better.
I don't see the answer to my previous question in this thread. What is the rules on outside interference?
Can players participate in the event in ships that would logically be there, but exist outside of the main factions present? You don't need to create /restarts for them, we can make them ourselves by creating cashcow characters to strip for the necessary funds.
In the KNF/GRN battle, I was trying to create a lone LNS backup ship for the KNF, assigned to help the KNF when they were pushed back by the GRN. However, I couldn't get the ship I needed due to rep, and left the character, the LNS-Chicago, as my bank.

Sorry, I missed that question.
The answer would be no.
Logically there should be some Zoner and Corsair ships running around in Omicron Delta. But this isn't about the in-depth RP you find there - this is about blowing stuff up in big, epic battles, and people getting video footage of it to help Igiss. (Which also means I'm going to have a /restart camera_ship available this time. I intended to do so last time ... and ran out of time.)

Semi-comprehensive list of all that I felt could be done better next time around.
Lack of co-ordination between sides.
Lack of Fleet Leaders controlling each side.
Weird instances like the GRN docking on IMG bases (Java and Holman) and KNF docking at the gate construction site.
More consistant fleet leaders, who (A) know what their doing (B) can control the masses (C ) can organize the fleets to be more then just running into a furball and dying (D) can help prevent some of the rather inane stuff, like KNF dessies fighting with the GRN, and vice versa, and LNS caps fighting in the Taus.
Less armor on capships. Seriously, cap VIIIs on Valors was just a bit much. Give the caps normal VIIIs, the fighters an armor V. (or whatever's just enough to survive a nuke/mini razor)
Give ships a variety of weapons. I.E. give a fighter 2 debs, 4 faction guns (or 3 of each if a faction has more then one gun), a missile or two, a mini razor, a train CD, a nuke mine, a screamer mine, ect. Let each person mount what they like best. Capships too. Different fighting styles, ect.
The constant re-engaging. Which is fine, to a point, but when you have 5 battleships shooting you, you kill one, and it's back in the fight before you've killed the next one, it becomes slightly aggravating. Have a cool-down period. Unless there's a FLHook method that can stay with multiple characters (/restart makes it really easy to avoid a character temp ban), maybe an account ban? Or have the spawn point be a handful of systems back from the fighting. It might be possible to make it so that even if you dock somewhere to buy bots/bats/ammo, you don't respawn there. (via character deletion?). It could make running a worthwhile tactic.
Just some thoughts, don't be afraid to ask for help.
For the players it would be the simpliest way to get spawned on a base where you can buy everything to outfit your ship. Not sure if this is possible, but couldn't you just make everything a fighter/bomber/cap needs buyable on the base the restart command spawns you?
Something like that...?
And - Oh my god! They are going to ra...attack Minor! That's going to be interesting. There is a zone between the JH and Toledo without asteroids, it isn't big, but it's big enough for some nice battleship fights.
