Generic, so all the Military and even pirate factions can use this.. although would create some problems, RM using the same stuff as LN and such, but better then making one for each faction.
Gunboat size, maybe larger.
few GB weapons -> none
Medium armor (compared to gunboats)
Semi-high cargo (750 - 1000 units maybe?), to be able to have "Troops" in the cargo hold),
Semi-high bots/bats (600/600 - ish) (To actually do something in PVP),
Summing it up:
Boarding ship looking thing, Considering pvp: Made as support (no, or few weapons, high b/b) ship.
Reasons for even considering this: Anything anyone want to rp as a "Boarding ship" has to be done with something like a transport, gb, or even cruiser in some cases, which doesnt even look like its able to even hold enough troops to take over an enemy ship.
Note: Im not actually suggesting implementing boarding, but adding this will be nothing more then an opportunity to rp something that i think freelancer has generally lacked ever since vanilla.
there is a ship with a fairly high b/b capacity - the repair ship.
concerning boarding ships and people roleplaying them, see carrier issue. (read: not doable due to game mechanics and therefore it would probably result in more poinltess models.)
Not required, current ships are able to perform like that, like armored transport, which has the perfect shape to be strapped to a hull (bottom part in contact with the hull) while keeping a low enough profile to avoid getting shot down by the capital ship guns or enemy fighters trying to cause explosive decompression by impact

This is something that screams "add a ship for the sake of adding it, we dont really need it tbh" to me.
you can RP just as well as the next person a "boarding scene". you dont need a ship for something that isnt even physically possible in the fl universe (at the moment, cannon would prolly get it working, but we dont need it), that you can substitute with top notch RP and continue with your lives.
i'm saying, that just as the carrier class (which is pointless to have here, since we can't actually dock player ships), a boarding/infiltration ship would meet the same issue. one cannot come over to an enemy capital ship, disable it and acquire control of it (i assume this is what you mean when you say boarding, yes?). it is powergaming in my eyes if done without other player's consent, and if you have it, you can just roleplay the scenario without any special ships.
Add boarding, in a sense.
10m range guns that do high damage.
Represents the boarders damaging the ship, since capturing would be too hard (just hit the vent atmosphere button and say bye bye to the invaders)

I sense huge abuse here.

But well. Indeed, it's not really that needed. We need more Bretonian / Rheinland / Kusari caps, I won't mention Corsair (awful as for me) caps, maybe SCRA caps (allright, but can be better), RH caps, Spyglass, Gallic stuff, Nomad Cruiser... etcetcetc
Perhaps instead of purely specialized "boarding ships", make a few military transports that can fill this role, as well as serving as a general-purpose troop/vehicle/supply transport. One per house, maybe doubling as the lawful answer to the Pirate Transport - Navy tech, but something they should be willing to share with local corps (since the corporations would be building them to begin with and they could use the firepower) and trusted freelancers/mercenaries.
That'd make it a ship that can fill specialized roles and add more variety to house transports, something I'm sure most corporate factions would greatly appreciate.

I like that. Can I place an order for 4 of the Liberty type?
