does everybody hate the colonial freedom front?
will there be a 'front for colonial freedom'?
(-life of brian:P)
Indeed, after this one I plan on the Colonial Front for Freedom, Free Colonial Front, and Radical Colonial Freedom Front, which will of course hate each other. However, not as much as the bloody <strike>Romans</strike> Colonial Fleet.
A plus one for your Monty Python reference, good sir, thank you.
' Wrote:I think it looks rather good and should, as intended, help to color up the taus a little. As I assume that this faction is mostly created to give CR some more quality activity, I won't go into possibly lack of action you might find your self confronted with.
In the case of your finance plan, I see that the main target of your secondary funding source would be the IMG it self that, from what I hear, already has enough trouble to coupe with the outcasts gameplay wise. Of course, this is only what I heard so you might as well correct me.
In any case I'd suggest that you rater rely on a more sophisticated mercenary wing or simply on being funded from the citizens of the colonial state (The Bundschuh, for example, is entirely funded by intellectuals from all over rheinland) while having a routined merc wing will get you more activity, of course.
About the Tag: It seems that you are taking those reasons you listed for not having a tag rather serious and that's ok. However, without tag, you'll find your self in a difficult position from a game play point of view: you won't just be able to /fi [XXX anyone when occasionally logging and you'll rather have to search the players list instead which - imo - is a blasted pain. Then of course there is the long-run recruitment thing, where you attract members simply by buzzing around in your tagged fighter swarm.
Even if its only half of the time, I thought I'd bring that up anyway.
First of all thanks for the vote of confidence, I hope it'll prove to have been justified.
However, I reckon the IMG will be very much against us simply because we are "unlawful" and because the CR'd be pressing them to kill the crap out of us. Plus Beck tells me that for some reason Freelancers are banned from IMG's Tau stations(Though funny enough I see them there all the time), so I reckon the IMG will position themselves towards this with hostility. (Not that I mind.)
And yes, our funding will come from raiding Colonial (No, we're not pirates and don't intend to pirate other corporations, except if they join the fight against us) shipments, donations(We've even got one person who'll for the time being totally dedicate themselves to just RPing a rich donor and political supporter), activities classified as Other, etc.
The /fi, by the way, won't be that much of a problem. First, we'll have under 7-8 members, at least for now. I have a lot of people contacting me about all this but some of them might not be that serious about it.
By that logic, it won't be too hard to remember some names, and we'll organize.
Also, the tagless chars will mostly be able to act alone on occasion anyways, and those who do the heavier stuff will have tags anyways.
As for recruitment, as said, we don't really need too many people. Quality over quantity as it were. If we manage to play well enough, we'll always have enough good people.
Thanks for the post, by the way, and if I missed anything point it out for me.
Quote:I suggest a tag, otherwise you'll be pirates.
You'll still be pirates with a tag, but you'll be able to maintain decent none-pirate roleplay, make sense?
Yes, I said it up there already. Only the actual undercover assailants and intelligence gatherers will be tagless. All others won't be as I've kinda figured out from everyone's comments and the other people in this that it'd not hurt all that much.

Jacob was viewing the news on neural net and searching for some contracts, when his eye caught something interesting.
"CFF? What the hell it is..."
He had a bad habit of talking to himself lately. Happens when you avoid people as much as you can.
He opened the message. It was some sort of propaganda, so he started to read more. Keeping yourself updated about politics was one of the key points in a work of mercenary. You need to know the demand for extra pilots.
He finished reading and smiled.
"I hope those poor guys have money they'd hire mercenaries with. Some extra cash might be helpful."
If they had money or not, it didn't really matter. He was already decided - as soon as he was done with business at Barrier gate, he'd set course for the Taus.
Oh no worries. I'm making the RP bar for membership high so far and intend to keep it that way. Unless I make a terrible error in judgment of character, we'll be fine.
Thanks.
