For once she wished she could take the Orion and go to town with it. But, alas, her calmer side, Ellie, made sure she didnt.
"What now Iz?"
"Heh, some guys said Jeremy was'Insane', a 'murderer', abused power, and was infected."
"If he's infected, i'm a melon."
The two laughed.
Izzy waved down a brown-haired waitress.
"Hi, is there any steak? One sounds real good right about now."
Ellie sighed as Izzy gave thier orders. Creepy kid, Izzy could be. Already knew what she wanted, Ellie didnt have to tell her. She tipped back her and glass and asked for another.
"We should be conservative."
"We got a freaking rich scientist behind us. She's paying."
"Oh, right. I forgot."

As Christopher sat keeping to himself and his friends, a waiter carrying a tray with a drink on it came up beside him.
"Excuse me, Sir, but this is compliments of that young red headed lady over there," he said as he pointed her out. She hadn't noticed the drink being delivered as she continued to enjoy the music as the pianist continued playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnyYlmsCrng
"She says she's sorry," he added. He took a step away and turned back as a friend, "Be patient with her. She's been through a lot."
Izzy accepted the steak witha word of thanks. She quickly cut a piece and ate it quickly. She savored the bite.
"Ok, I definetely need to come here more often!"
"I agree."
The two smiled and talked between bites.
Izzy accepted the steak witha word of thanks. She quickly cut a piece and ate it quickly. She savored the bite.
"Ok, I definetely need to come here more often!"
"I agree."
His eye lids shot open as a voice spoke to him, his eyes needed to focus. He moved up slightly getting into a more appropriate position carefully rubbing his eyes and giving a little yawn. "She says she's sorry."as the man turned to walk away he thought to his self.*Wonder what she has to be sorry for?* as he turned back his head would raise again"Be patient with her. She's been through a lot."He gave a slightly nod as if acknowledging what he said*she's not the only one*
He started to gather his self up to seem more aware and awake having accidentally fallen asleep before the man had woken him up, he kept yawning into his shoulder and rubbing his eyes as they watered every time after. As he looked at the drink he started to stand up, he took his head phones out and laid them down as they dangled over his shirt moving his hand down over his hair feeling a bit had been sticking up and powered down his PDA device sliding a sleeve down over it. His keen senses could smell alcohol in the drink as he took it in his hand.
He slowly started to make his way over to her at her table stopping at least a meter away from her giving her, her personal and safety space as he approached the table. "Salus Doreen, may I sit with you for a moment?" he stayed there trying to be pleasant as possible with a slight warm smile on his face as he talked softly.
Izzy kept an eye on Chris. He head over to a red-head waitress who was on break, and spoke briefly. Izzy sighed. She knew Chris had a soft side, but it was hard to find. Izzy sighed and continued on her steak.
"So Iz, anything from Jeremy?"
"I asked Namine to hack his personal log book. Short, as he has few entries. He's pissed at the Primary Fleet because they get the right to order around people who arent."
"Alas, it is sad."
"Yes, it is."
Izzy swirled her soda for no particular reason. Her miniature listening device picked up the waiter saying "She's been through alot."
Izzy sighed. Hell, she, Izzy, the waitress, Ellie, Chris, and Jeremy weren't the only one. There were alot of people who didnt go through alot. But it seemed most ended up in the shadows, commanding some big-arse ships and doing one of two things: Being Good GUys or Bad Guys. Izzy sighed. She hadnt sorted Chris. She couldnt. For once in her life, Izzy had to sort Chris in his own sepereate category.

Doreen saw him standing next to her. She took her head off of her hands and folded them before her on the table, her drink sitting in front of them. She just gave a friendly smile at his request to join her.
"Please do," she answered, making a motion at the chair in front of her.
She then stirred her drink a bit and maintained a weak smile, "I owe you an apology. You know, for when I ran out?" She shook her head once in some disgust with herself and looked downward a bit and looked back at him with a straight face, "I didn't want anyone knowing that I have a baby at this point of my life and..."
She paused, a bit troubled, but smiled weakly again, "giving me that toy was the first nice thing someone has done for me in some time, well, besides the staff on ship helping me out."
Her smile brightened slightly, "it's just not something that I'm used to and it caught me off guard and well, I overreacted so for that, I'm sorry."
She then sat, leaning on her folded arms, enjoying the company of her new friend.
He would sit with her keeping his hand around his drink taking a sip of it, he would smile in response."I feel it is my fault as I should have not stuck my nose in where it was not wanted so for that I must also apologies and as far as I am concerned, children are one of my soft spots.'' He'd grin slightly not being able to help it."Although most don't know that and would like to keep it that way."He'd wipe his face slightly still feeling tired but doing his best to hide it."I hope it will help you in the future, it has a little added feature where it can play music from it, it was the same music that put me to bed over the sound of everything else."He'd look at his PDA making sure its turned off before he slides it off his forearm and onto the table rubbing at his arm as it had been there for quiet some time and had become tight.

"Don't blame yourself," Doreen said softly through an equally soft smile, "you cared and I got scared. I ran."
She paused, unsure of what to say. She thought of the toy that he had given her that was now in her son's crib.
"His name is Benjen," she said to him, a look of confusion on his face. "My son," she added, "....the toy put him to sleep before I came here for some enjoyment."
She didn't want to bore him but her life was rather, well, boring. But she continued anyway with her slight Rheinland accent, "We are all we have, Benjen and I. His father is dead and my family is for all intensive purposes, gone too."
She paused again, "I'm not used to people being nice to us, well, save the staff here."
She paused in thought, giving her drink a stir, "So, I'm planning to raise Benjen alone. That said, I intend to finish my studies here as a nurse to provide for him, get my life straightened out and be done with smoking...all for him."
She sat in thought for a moment after mentioning smoking. She sighed, the cravings building again. She imagined how good it felt with her chest full of smoke, letting the tensions release and her nerves calm only to let them out into the air. Still, it wasn't what she wanted and vowed to herself to stop. For the most part, she was succeeding. A bit of a cramp rolled through her chest as she knew that soon she would have to return to feed her son. She held her hand to it and took a breath. Satisfied, she smiled again at Chris.
"I'm sorry to bore you," she said, "I'm not much for company I guess."
He would still be smiling."Your not boring me Doreen and I am glad to hear that the toy is helping you with Benjen."After having rubbed his forearm enough he moved the sleeve back over it, his whole body was covered in clothing except of his head and hand and in some spots where the frabric becomes streached from his movements there would be a faint blue glow under it.
"Two years ago, I was found wondering the snow planet in a shirt and jeans oddly enough, I had been wondering on the planet for a couple days after having woke up not knowing who I was or where I was." He'd pause for a moment this was the first time he had told any one truthfully about his past. "I was found by a patrol that was doing land some patrols they brought back to the main base in the area where some one seemed to recognize me they seemed mighty surprised."He would then look into blank space trying to recall most of it not being that hard but he was trying to remember everything. "I was then put into training and then I was put into service until recently when I self-exiled and cut my ties to them."
He would look back up at her his eyes were a golden color and his hair a very dark brown only being able to tell from looking at the top of his head where the light hit it."I only have a Sister that I am with most of the time, I for the better part of two years thought I was alone so in a way I may know what you feel but not in all ways, I was often careless and reckless when It came to only being me."He had no idea why he had told her what he did maybe just because he could relate to her position in a way it was just he didn't have people that could help him."I had some of my memory from when I was a.... kid a baby when I was small and the music is what I had remembered and really nothing else."
"I am naturally a kind person though I don't make a point of showing it that often and there is nothing in this world I wouldn't do for my Sister, nothing at all."He'd smile gently again. as he took a sip of his drink wincing a little as he moves his hand to his head but it being a very easily to miss.
AT that point, Izzy had turned the listener on. She made sure to de-activate it every time Doreen spoke. It was Chris she wanted to know more about.
Izzy smiled, becuase Chris and Jeremy were somewhat Alike. He would do anything for his sister, and Jeremy would do everything for his little sister, Rika. Izzy turned the thing off compeltely. She decided she had better things to do.
She put the device away and continued on her steak.
