That one's very nice, but if I start messing with the size of it, there's either going to be parts cut out or the dimensions of the ship will get all messed up (I could do it, but I'll tell you how to do it instead).

What you should try to do is to create a new image (ctrl+n) and set the dimensions as follows:

Max width: 700pix
Max height: 150pix

The max width is most important since files wider than 700px will mess up some of the themes on the forum. You can try different heights though I have found that 150pix is usually enough.

I usually work with image sizes that are multiples of 600x150 (for instance 1200x300) to make it easier to work with the details. Then I resize them using the "save for web" option and set the dimensions there.

To get back to that image you posted, what you could do is to create a new image with the dimensions 700x150 and then copy the image above into the new image, effectively making a new layer.

You can then play around with the "free transform" tool (ctrl+t), which lets you rotat, resize and change dimensions of the pic. To not really mess up the dimensions of the ship you can press and hold the shift key while resizing. That will keep the image the same dimensions.

After you've resized the image to your liking, you can then put your "clone stamp" skills at work to make the background of that image cover the whole width of the sig.

Try that out and get back to me with any questions.

I've uploaded the original file for your current sig so that you can check it out and play around with it a bit.
