Entry Twenty One - 06:14PM (SMT) - 19th March 818A.S.
Moving the Artifact down to the Omegas was easy, into Rheinland not so hard, as soon as I tried to slip through on my way back to Minor, I encountered some problems in Stuttgart.
Some Red Hessian gang was attacking one of Dennis Jameson's drones, the Rheinland Military Vice Admiral was also present, with a Battleship and a few other RM support fighters. They were too busy to be concerned with me, so I passed with little delay.
I docked up on Darmstadt Depot, I'll lay low for a few hours before I head back through the Omegas to the Omicrons.
Entry Twenty Two - 09:19PM (SMT) - 20th March 818A.S.
I finally made it out of Rheinland, made a detour through the Omegas back through the Omicrons home to Toledo. Magnus wanted me to bring him the Artifact and samples to Omega-5 for him, but I heard rumours of Phantom activity around there so I decided not to go.
Delta was a close call though, a Bounty Hunter Gunship and a Bounty Hunter Destroyer. Luckily I was near Freeport 11, within the No Fire Zone, so they didn't touch me. Though I like to think I scared them off!
I headed into Minor and found Mireille Ceyes talking about her crusades to some of the Agents in the system. I searched for her in the rocks and eventually found her. I asked her for her autograph, but she was just rude!
Wasn't much to do, but a patrol of the secondary fleet pointed out a smuggler who came in from Alaska, looking to smuggle through to Delta. We halted him, but he refused to speak and just kept trying to continue his path. We were forced to destroy his ship, take in his cargo and detain him.
So I'll begin gathering up some stuff for the trip to Gaia, I might compare what I found in Kansas to the one we have in Minor, maybe I'll find something new. Who knows?
Entry Twenty Three - 03:04PM (SMT) - 21st March 818A.S.
I got an emergency call from some fighters of the Secondary wing, reports of Nomad vessels (If you can call them that) just out from Toledo. I undocked and made my way over as fast as possible, but It seems that none of the secondary fleet members surivived.
I approached the Keepers, observing them. I powered my weapons down, so I wasn't immediately identified as a threat. They were fully grown, unlike the juveniles I've encountered so far.
They seemed to be please about something, if that is the right way to put it, they circled each other in what looked like feelings of joy. There was definately a bond between the two, but they soon turned their attention to me.
I didn't want to startle them, so I dropped some useless Iridium samples I had found in Kansas. One of the Keepers collected them and expressed and odd fondness towards me. It bumped my ship lightly, circling me with what seemed like friendship.
They soon left as a Secondary Fleet Light Carrier arrived, shooting before thinking. Ignoring my requests. Secondary Fleet are a bunch of idiots, cept for some of the nicer ones like the Doctor, and the Admirals.
Entry Twenty Four - 09:55PM (SMT) - 21st March 818A.S.
I managed to track down a young Keeper, dangerous, but it seemed docile enough to let me approach it. Damned Secondary Fleet members kept shooting at me, which is annoying, I destroyed one as the other fled.
The little Keeper flew off though, I had to fly around for a while looking for it. I eventually managed to get the Keeper sitting still long enough for a scan, it seemed curious by the face I wasn't shooting it like everyone else was.
The energy scans showed a nice structure of the vessel, of how the energy works while it is active, those yellow dots are where it relinquishes it's energy that we see as lasers.
Entry Twenty Five - 10:55PM (SMT) - 22nd March 818A.S.
Today I studied the gate we have in Minor, though upon taking off those idiots in the Secondary Fleet almost shot me again, which is never amusing. I spent a few hours studying the inscriptions, recording the remainder of the ones that we don't already have on record.
I stumbed upon that chain of symbols I keep seeing, I'm convinced they mean something important, though we really have made no progress in deciphering them. I found large chunks of what I believe to be the history of the Daam K'Vosh, or how the Slomon K'Hara came about.
I set a drone to orbit it and cross-check the inscriptions for me, if it finds anything it will send it to my Neural-Net. So far it has found dozens of similarities between the symbols of two gates I have studied.
I'm going to return to Kansas and place a drone there to record energy readings, hopefully I'll be able to better understand how they work. I'm about to depart actually, it's going to be a dangerous trip, I'll have to sneak down through Alaska and pray no one sees me pass through Liberty.
After I'm done in Kansas, someone mentioned some odd readings in Coronado, which I guess I should go check out.
Entry Twenty Six - 07:33PM (SMT) - 23rd March 818A.S.
I moved into Liberty easily enough, used the same junphole network the Rogues use to avoid the Liberty Navy patrols. I managed to get to California fine, sneaking in from Texas and slipping behind California Minor round to the lanes.
My intention was to head towards Magellen, so I could visit Kansas again. As I took my planned path, the lane went down halfway, near Willard Research Station.
The LNS-Sacramento had stopped me from continuing on to Magellen, I engaged cruise and escaped before the Carrier could act, clipping by towards the Cortez Jumphole in the Tahoe Ice Cloud.
I guess I'll be visiting Coronado first, at least until the heat dies down.
Entry Twenty Seven - 09:24PM (SMT) - 23rd March 818A.S.
I made may way to Barrier Gate and docked there, gathered some supplies before setting out. I hit up the bar and learned as much as I could. They told me about an old wreck, a DSE Survey Vessel and some IMG Patrols. I decided to head up to the DSE Survey Vessel first.
I marked it out on the map, orbiting Planet Yuma. Supposedly the vessel is studying it to workout the best place to start a settlement from Liberty. Nothing too interesting I guess, at least, not to us.
Next I moved down to the cluster of moons around Planet Salina, a large gas giant in the bottom right of the system. It has five moons orbiting it, possibly planets sucked into it's massive gravity well. There I stumbled upon a well-kept secret.
The moon known as Pecos has been settled on by the IMG, which explains the IMG patrols in the area. They granted me docking rights and let me stay for a while. It is an icey planet, with reserves of Deuterium they say.
So no rumours of odd readings, until I decided to hunt out the wreck. These Order scanners are great for picking out little things like wrecks, I found it in no time. It appears to be of the 'Z-Line' of ships, commonly used by Mollys, Rogues and Smugglers. The ship was not damaged in any combat though, it seemed to have just been left there.
I then studied the body left in the cockpit, it appears the pilot was studying it, and bled to death through his eyes, nose, mouth and ears! I retrieved ten possible active artifacts from the cargohold and a small crate of guns.
The wreck itself is within the mouth of a large, possibly Daam-K'Vosh. It does seem ancient enough, much older than the ones I have seen in Minor and Kansas, it is bigger as well, although it shares the same markings.
I took some pictures and got a quick structural scan before I received a transmission.
So I eventually found the rumoured gate, it's a secret at the moment, at least until I'm done with it. I picked up a transmission, looks like another covert op to me.
Entry Twenty Eight - 10:33PM (SMT) - 23rd March 818A.S.
I hitched a ride to Manhatten on a Cardimine Smuggling Transport, which thinking back, may not have been such a safe idea. Anyway, I arrived safely and checked out the shipsales, nothing took my fancy, until some nice Freelancer offered to lend me his ship.
Felt rude naming someone else's ship though, so I just referred to it as 'This ship', which was awkward. Anyway, I waited in Manhatten's orbit for Sarah, she contacted me privately from West Point. She discussed the terms and I agreed, we met up and prepared to go.
We set out down the lane into the badlands, stopping at the Pennsylvania Jump Gate. As soon as the coast was clear, she led me behind the jumpgate, into an opening.
Inside was the anomaly itself. I'm not surprised it had stayed under the radar so well, it can't be picked up on scanners unless you are literally right next ot it.
All it does it disrupt electrical equipment slightly, breaking signals and strong currents.
When I had done recording Sarah's findings, I took some basic scans, before we decided to head back to safety. There were rumours of dangerous Outcast Warships about.
She explained the situation to me, and we eventually parted ways.
I'll return this ship, as I have no further need for disguise, then most likely return to Kansas or Coronado. The ancient gate in Coronado does need more studies, along with recording the inscriptions.
Entry Twenty Nine - 04:16AM (SMT) - 24th March 818A.S.
I returned from Liberty, back to Barrier Gate, there I took off to investigate the gate closer. I took some material samples, small parts, so I can analyse them and see if this gate is made up of the same base material as the other's I have studied.
The tests I ran showed matches in atleast 80% of the material, though time and exposure to elements in space may have caused the small changes in the structure.
This one is covered in inscriptions just like the Kansas and Minor gates, I'm beginning to wonder whether figuring out the riddle of the Nomads could get these dormant gates active again.
Or perhaps there is an artifact or key somewhere out there in Sirius, or beyond. Though it is most likely that they are dead, never to be used again.
The organic cells making up this structure are almost completely dead, the one in Kansas had a field around it in which I believe stimulated the organic cells into activity. The ice field surrounding this one seems to have just put the cells into a stasis, literally freezing them.
I guess I'll leave a small probe to gather intel, it'll drift back to Barrier when it's done. This means I can head down to Kansas to finish up there.
There was a rather nasty group of Outcasts in Cortez, hanging around Montezuma. I decided not to take the Magellen hole there, and instead head through California. When I got to California, the lane between Planet Los Angeles and the Magellen gate was down, a few hackers. The scarpered when they realised I wasn't a transport.
I got an odd reading on scanners, a Liberty Navy signal. I was about to disappear when I recognised the name.
LNS-Tundra
I approached it carefully, it hailed me. I had heard reports of the Tundra, a Nomad infested ship, or a Ghost ship, a "horror in Delta" someone said. Well, I got a human response. A person on the feared 'Ghost Ship' of the Nomad Worlds.
We talked for a while about all sorts of things, there was a scientist on board, he was willingly working with, or for the Nomads. He was nice, he didn't tell me much. Only that they were waiting, waiting for something.
Then, something appeared on scanners, drawn to the Tundra, a large, possibly gunboat-class Nomad appeared. It was rather docile around the Tundra, as if waiting with it, holding back on violence due to the calm nature of the man I was talking to.
I did some scans while it was still, though I didn't dare get closer for a sample, those big ones are deadly. I suppose my Karasu would have lasted all of a few seconds.
When we had come to a conclusion, and he stated that he was staying put to wait, I left the Tundra, and the Nomad, headed back to the lane to Freeport 4. I think I'll sleep now, I'm rather tired. Kansas study can wait...
