Sorry, but "just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen" isn't a great argument when you're talking about a faction in a game.
Furthermore, none of this was bashing, and I'm not saying =LSF= is "doing it wrong." Not sure where that came from.
In the end, I guess the take-home message from =LSF= shouldn't be "lol, we're already doing it, n00b" and something more along the lines of "maybe we're going about it wrong, even if 'doing' it right."
I'm not giving up on this idea since I don't really see how =LSF= "doing it right" should equate "doing it without anyone else knowing we do it."
That said, the =LSF= has some of the best message dumps in the game. They're always through and knowledgeable.
I dunno. I suppose removing the =LSF= tags on ships will help avoid metagaming, and thus the lolfleet ganking in Berlin (for example), but it does seem to be less planned out and more on-your-own basis. I'd love to be in the =LSF=, since that's the kind of stuff I like to do most in FL, but haven't really thought to apply to it.
If you guys swear to doing all this and more in-game, and that "doing it right" means I won't know about it, I guess I've got nothing to argue about and just have to trust you. It shouldn't be like that, but that's another debate not for here.

Well, it is the truth. Right now, we are seeking to inform, if we were seeking to argue, I think there would be more shredding going on.
Well, when you say the =LSF= is not doing something, and you want to try to fill that niche, when we are already are doing it, it seems like an accusation of incompetence, that would be where the "bashing" ideal came from. (Not to mention, our faction feedback got nailed with the same sort of thing, except what exactly they wanted was contradictory and unrealistic in practical terms.)
Apart from that, our message dump gets used for some stuff. (However, even that gets meta-gamed. "This is Alaska, right lol? We send info Rheinland.")
Join up, get into the right division, and see how it is. Perhaps you can suggest tips from inside that will help us?
During my 2/3-months stay in [LN] (during this mod version). 90% of the encounters with the =LSF= logged in had been when they have acted like the regular LPI/LN-force. Basically, patrol Liberty and shoot baddies.
The other "10%" was one event where the =LSF= wandered into Tau to go buy a Spatial or something, they went through Bretonia without notifying the authorities there. (Which got In-RP consequences.)
And once or twice seen in Rheinland territory, but then it was aiding/attacking against RM forces.
Covert missions, espionage, guerrilla warfare, infiltration, disrupt enemy supply-lines, that kind of stuff, nah haven't really seen that at all. Although admittedly many of these things are only possible in forums/specified RP due to game-mechanics, I haven't really actually seen the stuff that is possible to do in-game, such as attacking enemy supply-lines for instance, ever occurring. Might be bad timezone for me tho, who knows.
I wonder why you, and that other group mentioned by Sarawr (what group?) has not tried to join the =LSF=. We need new members, members able to RP and knowing a bit about the intelligence RP.
Personally, and by experience... it looks quite nice and easy on paper, but getting to do those things to work in game is more tedious than it seems.
All LSF will agree that bandit interdicting should be a LPI' job.. Although they also do need many new members (look at their feedback tread) to do so. In the end, we and the LN are the ones called for help most of the time.
Oh, and avoid doing missions in guard systems without an agreement from the owning faction. Last time we did so, I and Rayne ended up being flamed... not fun.
Clandestine deals were considered, but we had to put a halt on them... Ever wondered why Blood diamonds are banned? Go ask the LN leadership... they still remember why. Rheinland pirate factions are not inclined to deal with us...they will sell us to the RM first in fact. As for the BHG, those operating in the omicrons are not in very favorable terms with us.
Assassination: look at my post in the =LSF= feedback Guerrilla: See rayne' post above. Espionage: Look at our msg dump (the LSF only one, not the Li force dump) Operations in the omicrons: look at my post in the feedback tread again. Ships limitations: Very few members fly GB (4), and the LABC is limited to Alaska and Ellesmere. Such ships are only used when necessary (there is one =LSF= GB who did cause problems, I'm keeping a close eye on it)
The main difference between the LSAS and the =LSF= atm is our main zone of operations. Most of our activities are in Liberty core with publicly tagged ships since very few of us have the experience or the time to play in covert (most LSF you see on are recent members).
With a more active LPI, we would get less request for help. And with more LSF members with more freetime, we would be able to do all these things frequently.
Why not contributing to us instead of creating something nearly identical to what we are trying to do.

You really think we would do espionage missions with LSF IFF'ed ships? We do not, since most players we encounter will RP the usual "SPY HERE! ENGAGSHUNG!"
And as for this Spatial acquisition thing, the first time we went in Bretonia, I privately contacted an available HMS for permission as he was the only Bret lawful on. Second time, there wasn't anyone on...heh. The consequence thing you are mentioning is not even related to this.

Excuse me but to get them Spatials I went through Kusari not Bretonia except on the way back. Also this isnt =LSF= feedback thread.
We tried to do commerce raiding last night except we got intercepted in bering by them banjo's attacking us for no reason in my book, we were all destroyed. Like I said previously, if we try to do anything on our =LSF= ships we get followed and ganked.
Aye, I can understand that. Also I added a part on my original post there, you might have missed it.
I can see your perspective on the matter but I'm just saying from personal experiences this is what I have seen from the =LSF= tagged players. Now if you do stuff without the tag, then I'm not really able to spot that and say "hey, those fellas represent the =LSF= faction". You gotta understand that as well before you jump the gun.
Now as for the Bretonia thingie, I just read it from an outside viewer on that specific thread. And what I could gather from that thread it showed that the event caused in-rp consequences for the Bretonian government. Now, I also read that you went to get a spatial. That's the two bits of info I posted here as well. I mentioned it because it was relevant to my personal post. Now I know this ain't the =LSF= feedback, dosen't mean I'm not allowed to mention a faction and what they do anywhere else.
' Wrote:No, but it usually means a thread gets locked and you get told to post in the appropriate place. (Or, well, it means that for everyone else.)
Usually that's true, but I don't really see myself flaming anybody right now, just sharing my observations. Now you may take them as credible or not, that's up to every single person reading it. Regardless, I have said my piece here.
