How far can RP go?

My advice is the following.

Rp it in space. That's fine harmless and dandy.
If a corsair walked into the arranmore bar he would be shot on sight.
If a molly walked into a bar on plante crete same thing would happen (that's if those poor starving lads have bars and not soup kitchens).
In the same vein going into bars.... For you?
Not a good idea.
While I have stated my views on the flurries already I felt this should be added.
As far as sirius is concerned you are a genetic freak of the highest order. Such things would be shunned at best. If a real cat thing like you RP was in reality how would it be treated? (OMG noes! Reference to real life!)
If you going to RP it then do it in a fashion that makes sense at least.

As for the laws of biology?
My character sits in his ship which is bigger than the atmosphere around planets.
This would mean my character is about 11 km's in height.
Laws of biolgy in a fantasy game and fantasy world? Erm... LOL!
Kitty RP I really have no issue with but it needs to be done properly.

At this point people have stated their views. If you don't like it. You don't have to. Get over it.

Nuuuu... They are human form ish and part no so human ish...! Teh Suits are too nicey for RPing them as a combat suit or space suit. You can even RP That you have a pet cat that stays on your shoulder like a parrot and is your best friend.

Kind of an impass here. On the one hand, we have the whole RP of it not making sense, and it really doesn't. You only roleplay a furry in space because you like furries. Well, I like Pokemon, giant robots, and Robot Dinosaurs that shoot laserbeams from their mouths when they roar. Can I RP them in a completely non-related universe just because I like them?

On the other hand, who are we to stamp out the creativity of RP? The rules and regulations on ships/equipment are already bad enough without trying to impose rules on what we can and can't roleplay as well.

Conclusion: Sit down, shut up and play your damn spaceship game.

Pretty much agreed.

If they can make it work within the confines of the universe this game is set in, more power to them.

If they try to use their half human, half animal DNA splicing as an excuse for them to powerplay out of death and various other consequences, well, That's lame and in very poor taste, we already have enough 'normal human' character players who try to powerplay out of consequences and death.

And if they expect to have their characters instantly embraced by society inRP, right from the start, well, that's quite a bit misguided.


Ooother than that, yes, some people like the idea, some people don't, if it works, let it be and play the game.

How far can RP go? It's only limited by Imagination, in Theory. In practice, and in my opinion, anything goes as long as it is-

A) Properly based and Justified
B) Not infringing or damaging other people's RP
C) Not against any rules or fairplay(Of course)

Man. I thought I would never get to the end of this thread.

I don't agree with them being here, nor do I agree with people who create characters will so many powers and abilities yet no down sides. Or those who ignore in game lore and RP simply for their benefit.

They can however RP how they want, this is a game with very free rules. Just don't cry when I try to kill you because its the nature of 99% of the human race. Also, don't cry if you enter a factions RP bar or whatever and they try to kill you. If you willining go into a hostile factions house, you have just given them liscense to kill. (akin to SCRA's recruitment no?)
