But yus, this.

What I don't like is the people with poor RP and powergaming hiding behind:
"LOLstop hating us, let us do our thing"
Agreed, I don't like powerplaying and hiding behind silly tactics like that, but I don't mind people actually Roleplaying as Furries, as long as it's done 'properly'
Anyways, I guess I'm done here, so I'll probably bail out soon.
I believe most people who have read through this topic are mistaking what Akurawr is trying to say, thinking that the claim is:
-Furries are not possible in any RP
-Furries are not possible in any scientific way.
-Furries should not be RP'ed because they're "Not Humans"
When that's not really true. Furries have existed in a variety of settings, yes. And by some measure of science(fiction), I suppose anthropomorphic hybrids are possible.
However, The point of the topic is that Furries don't belong in Freelancer RP, as it's far beyond the limits of Freelancer science, and even though Freelancer has Artificial Intelligence and Aliens, they make sense. They are logically explained. Not "I was an experiment engineered in a lab" explained, but actually feasible in the Freelancer setting, with reasonable origins that don't use science like magic (Although, Nomads may be bordering on that.)
In the end, it doesn't really matter. This topic is going to end with Furry players calling "Fursecution" and claiming that everyone who disagrees with them is out to get them simply because they like anthropomorphic animals. When really, the point is to keep a logical consistency in a universe that's already struggling with being logical and consistent.
Most people seem to think I'm bashing furries, I mean don't get me wrong, I do atongly dislike furries, but I don't mind people doing their own thing.

Pretty much yeah. They do that, purge them with fire. Repeatedly.

Way to read what people wrote.
Yes, we dislike furries.
Yus! we support the fursecution.
HOWEVER, if it is PROPERLY RPd we have zero problem with it.
The problem apparently is he encoutnerd a power played furry.
I'll go and second what Zamu said on this one. I don't have any problem with furries personally, but the entire new fad moving to disco seems like an import just for the sake of importing - there's no real logic behind it.
It's been forcefully crammed into the gears of disco's roleplay/politics which I'd estimate are already working at 60% or so capacity. Sure, Disco has its problems here and there, but they're easily fixable. throwing consistency to the wind entirely is going to do the exact opposite of helping the situation.
So please, I'd kindly like to ask the furries out there to keep it off of Discovery, for the sake of preserving a lively and healthy roleplay community? I'm not out to get anybody here, I'm just trying to protect a universe that I and many other people have played a large role in helping to delicately carve and polish out.
Well...by the looks of things...people want us not to be part of this....But I say....
I'm going to keep my character the way it is, and You can't stop me.
