Deshima station is a bounty hunter base within kusari space.

I think the bounty hunters should be kicked out of the base by the kusari authorities. Since they can't operate anymore in within kusari space. And let them have a base somewhere else. Maybe Galileo a small outpost since all the pirate activity there?

Any thoughts?

Yeah, BH shouldn't have a base in Kusari space, I agree. Maybe Kepler ...or Ontario?
Or even Colorado but... megh

I know it reads as a BHG base, but it is more complicated than that.
Many different groups have interests there, Kishiro for one has a large factory.
The BHG are allowed limited access to Kusari and indeed have apointed a new Kusari Giuld Master.
Kusari does not mind the BHG as a buffer against crime from the south.

There is RP behind that station, it wasn't just placed there randomly. I'd suggest reading infocards.

It's not technically a BHG Station either.

Have it reposessed?

If the BHG aren't the only faction that use the base then just have it under the tag of the other people who do.

Who said the base had to be anywhere near Shikoku?

Quote:The Shikoku system was originally a gateway for almost all of the traffic originating from Liberty and the independent worlds. Entry requirements for the New Tokyo system were initially very strict, and as a result, Shikoku became home to a large band of itinerant foreigners. Deshima Station was constructed in 350 AS to house this population, and despite the significant relaxation of New Tokyo system entry requirements, it still serves as a way station. Over the years Deshima has been substantially improved through the addition of a Synth Foods biodome, the construction of additional living space, and a partnership with Kishiro to manufacture Consumer Goods. The Bounty Hunters Guild also recently opened an office here as the large numbers of foreigners in the system includes a significant criminal element.

See, it should really be a Corp base or something. The BHG have an office, but it's still more like a Freeport.

Try reading the lore on it, its not only a base of operations, its a factory.
Mass produceing consumer goods for sale in kusari, thats one reason why the Alliance hatez it so much.

And the Guild CAN use it, to patrol Shikoku, Gallileo and Kepler, even down to Colorado, where pirate activity is at an all high.
Its not the Emperors fault, that the guild is not useing its opportunities.

I'd always figured that security/docking control were outsourced to the BHG by whoever really owns the station.
