Yeah, i agree with Foo. I'm a (kind of)new player, and i felt sick when i saw the community's reaction. I mean, it can be summarized like this ''HOW DARE YOU OFFER US INNOVATION AND NEW ROLEPLAY OPPORTUNITIES?! WHINE BITCH WHINE!''.
Seriously, stop concentrating on whining for a second and you'll find the game to be a lot more fun.
Now you see - the thing I dont understand is that - Kusari gets beaten about as badly as they can get beaten by the Gallics - to the point where they have to concede right back to tau-29 (as a buffer zone). Yet no mention of the Dragons, who stayed out of the Bretonian war, just waiting for the moment when Kusari would be at its weakest?
Did they just sit back and watch? Did they join in the fight alongside the KNF against the garlic-munching gaijin? Did they attack enmasse at the soft underbelly of Kusari whilst the war was being lost?
It just seems to me that - after all this turnaround of events - the Dragons STILL cant clinch a decisive victory out of this. The Kusari government's only political fallout after having their war plans crushed was what? The head of the armed forces is removed?
Ultimately, its not about winning or losing - it is about hope. On first glance, after all the centuries, the Dragons cannot capitalise on what is probably their best chance of victory - a decisive end to the Bretonain War at Kusari's expense - with a loss of support for the militaristic government in Kusari.
If the Dragons fail to make an impact during these momentous times - then what relevance do they have in Kusari, beyond being pirates?
These are soul-searching questions I would expect Dragons to be asking themselves.

(Oh, and the opinions expressed herein are from me as a player, not as me as an admin.)
I saw that and had to laugh. Gallia steamrollers through Bretonian space so they can get to New Berlin to surrender to the Kanzler ...
Depending on what happens in the Omicrons - and how badly the BHG gets smacked due to things happening on OUR side of Sirius - I could see us finally getting involved in a house war, and legitimately taking bounties and/or working as contractors for Bretonia. Lots of our pilots used to be Bretonians, after all.
My other faction - well, we already have reason to dislike the Gallians now, so we'll certainly be working against the Gallians now. Those xenophobes have already blown up several of our ships - we don't like that.
I have a feeling my Zoner research vessel that's already exploring Gallia is going to have an interesting time.

Sorry I didn't read all comments to new story line.
I think it's a little stupid. You know something about activity in gallia. That's desert, no players , no pvp, no RP. Only one faction GRN. So that "few" people will blown up half of sirius. I afraid that all conquest will be only in RP. Effect of this is that Gallia will be crossfired. They would have to counter kusari, bretonia , outcasts. I predict all what would happen that is BAF KNF and maybe 101st with just cause will smash all gallic guys and go straight to new paris(only in PvP ) I think story should be in 1/4 based on in game events. You see wchich faction is winning battle slots and you can predict who wins war. Or maybe few conquets for now not all bretonia and taus.
I see a big uberbattle in the last bastion(new York system) with lots of Gallic Battleships jumping in from colorado, while LNS ships Attempt to rally Forces and Civilian forces to defend NY.
Starfleas Will be fireing their failguns at the GRN Battleships, then the big ol GRN will all be liek OMG NU DAI STARFLEA then 2 shots and teh starflea turns into a small ball of fire.
thats gona be 4.87
in a nutshell.
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

Kusari is already out of the war, at least from what it sounds to me. (Otherwise a trade-agreement wouldn't make sense)

scratch the 'maybe' there. The 101st will be hitting lonely patrols and supply lines pretty hard. Kirkwall is just perfect for that. Sure, we won't go straight for New Paris for RP reasons, even though I like to say otherwise as some kind of motto.

I think the new dev is so interesting, my heart's just about to cry... :ylove:
Seriously, though. That looked epic for me, compared to my own RP...
Too bad I can't just make another char to participate in said event, because my mind will explode if I make another char from scratch... making one family's RP is already hard enough, let alone another soldier to add :P
*grabs a titanic lemon squeezer and starts trying to make lemonade*
Well sooner or lather they are going to come in Liberty and Liberty will push them back ( i hope so Liberty is a Strong House) and one Question what Happens to the Outcast ? i am sure that the GRN has Entered Tau-37
Can I just say; I dislike BOTH the 'omg it's the end of the world' posts AND the 'Omg, stop whining you little bitches' posts.
Please, both of the groups that desire to make those posts, don't (lookin' at you, zeltak!).
People are entitled to their emotional reactions to the events unfolding and effects on their long spent RP, it would be hypocritcal for people to shout at the 'whiners' for not simply reacting like a robot. People's initial reactions are exactly that, initial reactions, and they will either get used to it or simply leave, both outcomes the 'anti whiner' group will not have a problem with. Both posts are not constructive, but the whine posts you mustn't judge.
Also yes, Kusari is out of the war, the RP government changes from Samura to Kishiro which sort of act the same as far as players go. There will be little impact on this house, and they get to trade with Gallia. Main impact I guess is the fact they're no longer at war with Bretonia and there is some elements of KNF stuck in Leeds to RP. In RP the Kusari fleet was thrashed, but that is simply a RP change that is not terribly visible.
