I applaud the attempts to shake things up, though my principle faction of interest is admittedly not yet involved.
I do, however, hope that Bretonia is given some kind of boost, in terms of a technological breakthrough, resource discovery, or new alliance to ensure it can hold its own, in RP, in future. Poor Bretonia's luck just keeps going from bad to worse.
Efforts inevitably had to be made to help integrate Gallia into gameplay, in a way that was left on the to-do list after 4.85, and perhaps the situation is not ideal, but it will make for interesting times.
My only critique would be that this seems to be a huge number of changes in one mod, and that so many drastic shifts in one go may be difficult to handle. It may have, perhaps, been better to let this happen more gradually.
I would say that I would hope Kusari, Gallian and Bretonian factions take this storyline on-board, and act it out, in terms of forum-RP and in-game RP events, in the run up to the mod release.
This would mean that, rather than an abrupt and sudden change, we can actually see the changes happening in-front of us as if the story were properly evolving.
Seens that is time for a cease fire on the war kusari vs bretonia, so both can unite to eliminate the gallic threat. see: the enemy of my enemy is my friend!

We as admins were asked about doing this back in March by Igiss and the dev team. We feel that this is a good idea - doing something along the lines of the battles in Leeds that were set up a while back, where people could just do a /restart and get a fully equipped ship that was pre-set up for the combat.
One issue is that we would need participation and cooperation from our players. We're talking about a MASSIVE fleet battle here - 60 to 70 people participating, multiple camera ships flying around as well, and unfortunately even if the tide of the battle goes a certain way, it'll still have to have a pre-determined outcome. We don't have a problem with that from an administrative perspective - we just have to make sure that the server is actually up to it.
Yea, that would inact the plotline.
And because of the timezone issue, i would like to quote the idea that was already mentioned, to keep that event running for a week.
So you won't have 100 players at the same time in the system, but always some "actors".
I think overall its just a very interesting storyline that does remind me of WWII-ish themes of countries re-aligning to fight common enemies and overall just very cool.
Serious question however that Id actually like answered rather than ignored/flamed. If Liberty took the most prized area of Sirius space for themselves when they arrived first, how has Gallia been so successful that they are able to match all four of the other houses in manpower and fleet capacity? Do they have more systems in reality than we can see now or what? Did Liberty skip over what is now Gallia as it wasnt part of Sirius?
I haven't played FL in a while, but I think I will start again. Hopefully. Maybe. Probably. Hopefully.
Anyway, the story is good. I like the idea of a massive battle that will "decide the outcome" (Its gotta be rigged or the story is screwed, cant have that.) of Bretonia. Personally I think Bretonia is the best house (Ive got prejudice, but that's not important. What important is that Bretonia will eventually reveal that they have been hiding 818 battleships (One a year) in a remote system. Or something.) But I digress. Anyway, I think Bretonia is going to do something crazy, like give Dublin to the Mollys, or promise to declare war on Rheinland after the Gallics (Gallians?) are defeated so that the Mollys/Liberty will help them.
As for Ghost31's question...

I think that since Gallia had absolutely no problems at all for hundreds of years, no competition or anything, they were able to dedicate every one of their fanatic workers (Viva la France!) and build hundreds of ships, go out, strip mine a couple asteroid/gas fields and build more ships. Plus, we have only seen the Gallic border systems. What if they found a star cluster, and within, say, 400 years, had colonized several dozen systems?
I think that may have been my longest post ever. But it has a quote so it doesn't count.
Edit: I just realized I didnt actually answer a big part your question. I have no clue as to why Liberty didnt see the Gallic area and snatch it up.

I would like this one all 4 houses join together and screw gallia from sirius and take all their weps then all 4 houses go deep into omicron lota kill all nomads ( the 4 houses areRehinland, liberty, kusari, bretonia)
I continue to think that this is will goona be great but ... as a zoner i have my concerns. Freeport 10 will be isolate from the rest, because of what i have been reading, the gallic will not like to ssee our ships passing by Tau 23. So that will be a huge problem for us. What will happen to Freeport 10? Who will suply it and defend it? The zoner's power is spread all about Sirius, and all of it "war machine" is too busy to keep our territory free and stoping the nomad threat. An new enemy with such power ... it will be hard. Our ships are good but not so good. We need more firepower. I think is time for the Zoner faction have some real cruisers and not destroyers. I have a Fearless and i know what she can do and ... mostly what she can't do. There aren't so many Junkusus because of is huge size and price. We need a true cruiser to protect Freeport 10 and also Freeport 6. So i ask for rechearchers to improve the Fearless or make an true cruiser like the Obstinate and, others, the Corsair Praefect, the Outcast Storta and others more. (this is not for fighting the corsair and outcast, they are just examples).
