Greetings,
My name is Jason and I'm 19. I don't have a sirname, sorry about that, I never had one. My parents call me Jason. I never knew my real parents. I was given to family friends for unkown reasons at the age of one. I recieved their sirname, but I didn't like that idea. I wanted to bear the name of my real family, but alas, that was impossible, so I'm just Jason. I was told sotories about how I came from Greek origins, which is interesting since the Greeks race became extinct long before A.S. For the past 19 years I've been living on planet Erie, deep in Liberty space, trying to earn enough money as a trader to survive.
Anyway, enough about me, let's get to the point. Due to a remarkable sequence of occurences I landed on Java station, the first time I met with an IMG. There I recieved a free Raven's Talon, again because of these occurences (if you desire to hear the whole story I'll gladly oblige you, but for now I'll keep it simple). I was told that this was the best VHF on the market, and I'm really fond of these fighting machines. So once I got it, I lifted off Java and decided to head back for Liberty and sell it (though I really wanted to test it out first). Then, when I was about to leave the system I recieved a distress signal from a Nyx pilot. He was fleeing from a junker vessel. I thought that this was my perfect oppurtunity for a test drive, so intervened and bought time for the Nyx pilot to escape. I couldn't see if he was IMG or not, but that didn't matter to me, I just wanted to chase the junker away. Sooo, my hull got ripped to pieces, enough was left for me to retreat, that was some skilled junker. But I was sort of happy because I did the same damage to him. So we both retreated.
After major repairs on Java I started for the docks when I heared to IMG pilots seeking an escort (one was trader-Holmestrand; the other a defense pilot- Zed). So I decided to join them, I was up for some fun. We passed through Kyushu and there we had a little fight with some GC's. The trader was headed for New Berlin. Except the GC fight we didn't encounter any more hostiles for most of the way. Just some unioners blocked our way for the Berlin planet, but I dealt with them personally. Then something wierd happened. My navigation systems malfunctioned (due to insufficient repairs after the junker fight I suppose) and the auto-cruise sent me straight for the planet's atmosphere...I ejected right before my Talon was ripped to pieces, but I blacked out because of the explosion. I guess Holmestrand tractored my pod and brought me back to Java.
So now I'm sitting here at the Java bar, writting this application, since I was irreversibly compelled by the IMG spirit and technology. I'm mainly doing this for the fun, but if I get to help others around me and recieve payment for it, then even better. I'm ready to forget the Liberty life and become one of the Guild, if you would let me join your wing.
Reasons why you would want to accept me:
1) I believe I have excellent fighting skills and I love space combat
2) I am also aware of the trading business since I was a trader back at Liberty, I can do multiple jobs if required

Hello, my name is Dominic Missed and I was born on Caprica, where I completed flying school and in next 2 months after my exams I've been accepted to Colonial Navy, where I worked for 5 years. My Rank was Lieutenant and I had my own Viper mkVII. One day, during usual scout mission around Cyrannus system I found an Anomaly. Before I could call help, Anomaly caught me and pulled me into itself. I was in hyperspeed around 6 hours and when I jumped out I had very big speed so I crashed at planet right into the city. My ship was destroyed, but I was okay, and I asked some people where I am, they told me that at planet Erie in Pennsylvania system. I had some Colonial money so I bought Startracker, and little mined. than I bought something better, and made money for my current ship, Hegemon Miner.

I'm sending you this message, because I would like to join the official ranks of the Independent Miners Guild.
Who am I? I was born on Planet Hamburg on the 31st October 795, yes, that's right, I'm from Rheinland. After finishing school and all that I looked for a job on the Alster Shipyard to finance a study. I wasn't lucky and so became a Freelancer for some time, working mostly on Hamburg but sometimes also in other areas of Rheinland. With the war against Liberty rising and the situation around Rheinland being not really what I liked, I moved out of Rheinland and made my way to the Omegas, where I encountered the IMG.
So, the last time, it's been some months now, I've been around Java or in Dublin on the Hood working for the IMG. I always thought about going back to a life of a free working person, a mercenary maybe, to be honest. But I think, the IMG is free enough in their actions for me. Due to the threats of the outcasts and many other pirates, I think you can need another defense pilot. Oh, right, I didn't tell you, I'm a fighter pilot! - Ah, I might not be the best...But I try to do my job as good as possible.
The IMG's main purpose is mining, of course, but they also have to protect their mining operations and the Guild has to look for new resources, so one of their purposes has to be exploration. Their main operations lie in the Taus and Omegas. Our mining operations in the Taus are mostly threatened by the Outcast and the BMM, but pirates on the way to Neu Berlin are a risk to our transports as well. In Omega-7 we have great competition, though they have agreed to a treaty which improves the safety around there. Still the pirates down there remain and defense will be needed.
That's where I might come in handy. Defense. Or at least "scaring" our enemies away, who knows, pirates are less likely to attack a guarded miner, as far as my knowledge goes.
One of your pilots told me, I might be a fitting addition to the Guild. Zed is his name.

Salutations, Independent Miners! This is Sanders of the M.S. Sand Spider, here. I was hoping that I may join you lot in your ventures across Sirius, be it in staving off pirates, exploring the cosmos, or of course, exploiting the mineral fields that dot our galaxy!
First off, I suppose I should explain my roots. I am mostly a miner myself, but fancy a bit of exploring now and then. I've tried my hand at being a tradesman, but it wasn't exactly what i'd call profitable. I've also tried a bit of freelancing, though I usually found myself overwhelmed by multiple pirates all at once! Therefore, I gave being a miner a go, and lo and behold, it turns out I quite like it! Right now, i'm a bit independent myself, but would like to strut my stuff in a larger group such as your's. I've given thought to other mining companies, but whats the fun in being ordered around to do things? I prefer to work on my time and my own rules, but would enjoy a bit of company as well, as friends, not just co-workers!
Next, I should think that the purposes of your Guild to be these things:
1. To discover new mineral veins and decide if they are worth the effort of mining.
2. Help out fellow Miners in certain situations, be it in mining, or the defense of the Guild's property.
3. To group together and take out enemy entities that would dare threaten the lively hood of the Guild (Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing, as well as the Outcasts, to name a couple).
And 4. Determine the purpose and stance of the newly discovered individuals affiliated with The Council, from the lost house of Gallia.
Lastly, I can help to accomplish these objectives by:
Exploring the vast reaches of Sirius, especially those areas that are unknown to many.
Coming to the aid of my comrades in situations that call for such action.
Teaming up with my brethren to take down the big boys in our back yard.
And by venturing into the Orkney system to attempt to make contact with any and all members of the entity called The Council.
With all these considered, I should think that I do indeed qualify for becoming a member of your operation of Independent Miners. I shall now then await further instructions after being accepted into your Guild.

Greetings ya'll, my name is Darius Locke, and I'd like to formally submit my application to ya'lls little club. I'll be straight with ya, my employment history is quite....checkered. I've never been much for stickin' around one place to long; slavin' away over the same old ground just isn't where it's at for me. Of course, Interspace Commerce and the like ain't too keen on traders who get there 5 days overdue 'cause they took the "scenic route". And they certainly weren't too happy when I self-destructed that Train loaded with H-Fuel rather than pay bounty to those Outcast scum. *he chuckles* That was one hell of a 30 days notice.
These days I spend most of my time wanderin', doing mining work on a per-contract basis. While this is all well and good, I definitely appreciate the freedom it brings, I'm but one man. I don't have the kind of resources needed to truly see the stars, to explore deep space an' all the wonders it hides.
I'm also findin' pirates to be a royal pain is the ass, I actually have to pay their little ransoms as an independent. My dromedary is the only ship I got, I can't afford to lose 'er, and this forces me to give the buggers cash when I'd rather be givin' em the old one finger salute.

I spose this is the part where I say why I'd be useful to ya'll, and how I wouldn't ever try and play Russian roulette with Guild property.

I'm just kiddin' with that last part. Anyway, I'd be perfectly happy to mine for ya'll, though for me mining is a means to an end. What I'd really love is to explore, chart new systems, find new ore deposits, that kind o' thing. I also wouldn't mind learnin' to fly somethin' more....combat oriented, something I simply can't afford to do as an independent. I hear ya'll often have trouble with the Outcasts out in the Tau systems... *his voice grows cold* You wouldn't even need to pay me to slaughter those bastards, just give me a gun and point me in their direction.

I dont know if this should be included, but Like Every One else in My Family(whats left of it anyway), I am a Excellent Strategist. A testament to this would be My Brother, Andrew Shepard. He is Captain of a Libertonian Battlecruiser, and has Eliminated Tens of Rhineland Cruisers, and Even Coordinated a Cruiser Raid on a Battleship, Which ended in the Explosion of The Battleship.
