He raises a good point though.
This is something that could be done to maximise what we're getting for our dollar, with what I understand is minimal effort.

Clearly, You haven't read what i said, i am NOT Complaining.. i am simply making Surgestions. Problems with lag have allways been around, it's the fact of having multiple peer to peer connections.

But with the connection we DO have.. we can erdicate lag further by taking steps mentiond in post 1.
Reguardless... as i think i said before, we are all very gratfull for server hostings and alike.
If the # of NPCs is relative to the amount of players on line, is it done by percentage or over all number?
Temporarily decreasing the server max pop. to maybe 100 or 50 until we're back on the main line might help if NPCs appear based on the percentage of the max population. That way when the server is full, there will be no NPCs, and with a low playercount currently no one's gonna notice the 100 or so missing player slots.
i think, LOWER the NPC count, but don't remove it entirely. I mean, is it entirely necessary to have 2-4 battleship patrols outside manhattan at all times? Plus, i'm pretty sure that the recent moar-lag has been something to do with something being broken...when its all nice and cozy in its new home, THEN we'll talk about what lag we get, if any.

Recant lag has been.. well, allot less, but server crashes are still intermittant.
Is what i say here plauseable?
Say the server think's it's being DDOS'd? it will shut itself down to protect itself, then reboot.. right ?
So.. when it re-boot's, it is spammed by the entire allowed playercount logging in at once, and this it think's it's being DDOS'd again ? and thus crashes.. Etc Etc.. such continus stress will in-advertantly kill componant's... maybe a serverset rulle that the player count is raisd to the total playercount over 10 minutes? allowing a progressional addition of players with less strain on everything?
