I don't know what happened but the frequency of encountering NPC's must have been increased and it's getting pretty annoying.
Mostly this is related to piracy for me. For example, flying in Hogoshan colors you tend to stick near Jumpgates or trade-lanes waiting for a transport to show up. So this transport decides to try escape, what do you do? You cruise disrupt of course. Next thing you know you got AFA, Samura and Kishiro NPC's going berserk on your ship. You can deal with it when you fly a Raba with your transport shield, but when you are flying a Fighter or a Bomber it gets really annoying.
"Yes people can use stationary BS for defense, which is what they are meant for. If the "win"/"loose" part for you is the blue message then perhaps you should head to Connecticut or some of the tournaments.
This made me regret that I read your post, I won't do that mistake again."
Retreating to Bs with 3 hull and talking about " victory" is gayish. Hugs Npc Bs with Bs is gay too.
Flying around an NPC BS station and insult that, who shoot you down anytime with closed eyes, thats not RP and not fair play.
People here are right. NPC-s ARE annoying as hell. This is not about "lololol they interrupt my PvP whoring lolol"
Its simply you can't RP propely in some situation 'coz 10-15 npc-s are on your back. For example if I try to interact with a trader on my pirate I can't coz if I try to write longer sentances they will shoot down my shield and even damage my hull wich is really stupid.
In other cases if a Pirate chases your trader and you try to run, you need to deal with 15 npc cruise distruptor besides the pirate's tcd wich makes escaping impossible
Or in Delta with BHG, you'll have 10 titan and an Osiris on your ass in notime.
Same for allied npc-s. With a ship that has a CD mounted you'll automaticly have allied ships firing at you.
Oh and I don't want to start about Battleship bases like Isis wich is killing everything in 2K and wich is a popular retreating point for lolwuts incase of a shield-down situation.

It's also annoying when you are trying to escape piracy by jumping from Tokyo to Shikoku but you have to wait for 20 NPCs to jump first while taking fire from pirates.
Listen guys... NPC's doesn't spawn more often or in higher numbers than they used to.
We have the same amount of NPC spawn at 180 players on the new setup, which we had at 120 players on the old setup.
So in effect you are complaining about something that has existed since the start.
The only reason you possibly haven't noticed before, is because you were only logging on, when the playerload was higher than 120-130 before.
Well, now you get to see how the other half used to have it. Deal with it, instead of Q_Q'ing.
Observe, Adapt, Overcome. Don't tell me you can't do that.
Mjolnir has stated that the places where the NPC spawn is to strong, will be balanced for 4.86, if you report it to him, with the proper info. Go ahead and do so.
Well, I can fully understand npc swarms in their respected areas.
But I got my shippment of human organs blowed up in my own corsair space by 12 inferno TCD sabres. (lvl 19 sabres carries inferno, lvl 18 sabres carries unlimited tcd amount proportion is 1:1). well sorry but this is really not how it should be working.
I wonder what is classified as strong NPC.
Today I tried to fly through LHG system, and got about 4 gunships and 10 smalls on my butt constantly. I mean okay, it is guard system. But this is pure ownage:D
and in usual space the NPCs are generally RP ruining bunch. Traders / Pirates hate it most and I agree with them.
How you RP properly when there is angry startracker mob shooting at you. It gets annoying especially when they start bumpity bump.
can they numbers of the 'big ones' at least be tweaked a bit?
seriously yesterday 3 npc bs patrols popped up in a matter of 5 minutes and ruined a decent pvp-event. their misslespam also causes epic lags from what i saw.
' Wrote:Actually you are wrong here. So you go ahead and try it before posting another comment. If you have regular IFF the NPC's WILL attack you if you CD them. Only if you have guard rep they wont touch you. If you want some screenshots I would be more then happy to go ingame now and take them, for I have been shoot at by navy npc's when I had a navy IFF (regular). Maybe this is just happening to me.
But before you post another comment, YOU go test it ingame. Im not a retard, I know what happened to me.
I know perfectly well what I am talking about. I was there when it was implemented and I participated in its testing, as well as tried it many times in game (including 4 days ago, CDing and shooting missiles at a friendly Destroyer patrol and its fighters).
There's one point that may be confusing you - your IFF has no effect in this. You can have the IFF while having too low reputation or not have the IFF and have full reputation. Full green reputation is what you need, nothing else matters. Guard reputation obviously affects only Guard NPCs, regular NPCs are affected only by regular faction reputation.
What happened to you is probably this: You have Navy IFF, but you lost some reputation by failed missions or killed NPCs. You did't lose enough to lose the IFF (you'd need to drop almost to neutral) but you lost enough for the NPCs to turn on you (you'd only need to lose a little, about half a square).
' Wrote:I hope they will be present when the server is 100% full as well, since it makes it a far more interesting place to interact. Now you need to THINK about your relations and pick the spots where you interact with other players. Just as you would have on the old setup, when server loads were low.
So when i do restart Rheinland to make a char from scratch and I buy a Miner ID to get some ore,
the hessians just bring like 20 NPCS to Fraep me in a CSV?
if I wana be pirated i'll wait for -RPERS- I don't wana be redisdead4npcsdai in a CSV Especially when its got some crappy shield and its against 20 level 12 hessians.
It makes it worse.
